What is an RGB tester and what is it for?

If you need to customize decorative lighting in general, or just customize the glow of an individual RGB tape, then an RGB tester is the best choice. Today, you can find a wide range of RGB and DMX controllers on sale:

  • simple. Usually there are several programs for changing the colors in the composition.
  • complex. Equipped with a control panel (either by infrared channel or by a radio remote control), with the functionality of adjusting the brightness of the glow of each RGB channel separately.

RGB tester - was developed by LED Design (see. (see figure below). An electrical device with dimensions of only 119 * 60 * 28 mm makes it possible to adjust the brightness of the glow of any channel separately or scan these values ​​by entering them into memory.

The technical characteristics of the device are as follows:

  • supply voltage - 12 volts;
  • number of channels - 3;
  • connection of LED RGB light sources according to the scheme with a common anode;
  • maximum load current per channel - 3 Amperes;

  • digital indication of the brightness of each color in three channels;
  • the number of memory cells is maximum 30.

Tester functionality:

  • precise manual color adjustment using the corresponding buttons on 3 separate channels (red, green, blue);
  • autoscan colors in the range of 16 million colors;
  • entering into a separate memory cell of any color (up to 30 cells) for later viewing;
  • visual control of RGB components of the selected color using 3 three-digit indicators (by the number of channels);
  • the ability to clear the memory of memorized colors;
  • function of selection and editing of any color from memory with subsequent memorization of changes;
  • long-term memory of colors after power off.

Thus, the RGB tester allows you to "visualize" the expected result after the design and final execution of work on decorative lighting of an interior or facade.
