Professional assembly of the switchboard includes a lot of nuances: this is the installation of a separate panel for low-current lines, and the connection of various kinds of switching equipment, and much, much other. But there is one more trick, which is used by almost all intelligent masters - "non-disconnectable lines". What it is and how to do it - further in the article.

What is a non-disconnectable line?

A non-disconnectable line represents a certain installation of protective equipment in the switchboard and is necessary in the case when it is necessary to turn off the entire home with one machine, but leave a certain voltage under voltage plot.

For example, the landlord wants to make repairs, and he needs to de-energize the home. But there is a lot of work and the process can take a whole day, and there is no particular desire to watch a defrosted refrigerator. Then it is very useful to make one non-disconnectable line, which will function properly even after moving the main bag to the “off” position.

Important! Do not think that a non-disconnectable line is devoid of protection - at its beginning, an automatic switch or a differential machine is also installed (depending on the owner's desire).

How to properly install a non-disconnectable line

The main advantage of a non-disconnectable line is that it can be installed in absolutely any electrical room: whether it be an apartment in a multi-storey building of the last century or a modern private mansion.

Installation sequence of non-disconnectable line:

  1. Determine with the help of an indicator screwdriver from which side the voltage comes to the input machine. The PUE says that the potential difference must always be at the fixed contact of the switching device, but, unfortunately, not all masters know about this.
  2. Install a circuit breaker on the DIN rail through which power will flow to a non-disconnectable line.

3. Wire the bottom of the machine of the non-disconnected line (it is in this place that the fixed contact is located) to the socket of the input packet, which is constantly supplied with voltage from the external network - the source.

4. Perform all connections qualitatively and check the operability of the circuit - when the input machine is off, the bag of the non-disconnected line must be powered.

Important! It is not always possible to remove the operating potential from the input circuit breaker. Then all operations for the installation of a non-disconnectable line have to be done under voltage, which for an inexperienced owner creates a serious threat to health and the possibility of getting an electric shock.

The main advantage of a non-disconnectable line

The main advantage of such a line is time saving. No need to remember which machine is responsible for which part of the dwelling or read the designations in the dashboard. It is enough just to turn off the main switch, for example, before leaving for a summer residence. The apartment or house will be de-energized, except for those electrical appliances that must work constantly - this can be a refrigerator and a boiler or an alarm system.
