The times of twists, traffic jams and kilometers of electrical tape have long since sunk into oblivion. Today's electrics are refined and reliable, have an aesthetic appearance and a long service life. But all these qualities are possible only when installing new electrical products, one of which is a convenient cross-module.

What is cross module

To put it simply, a cross-module is a group of buses located in one insulated plastic block. Such a block is fixed on a DIN rail, since it has a corresponding fastening on the back side. The cross-module consists of two (single-phase) or four, (three-phase) buses, which in turn differ from each other in the number of holes - 7, 11 and 15.

As PUE 7 states, the wiring must be calculated and designed in such a way that in the future it could be modernized, for example, for a larger number of consumers, without serious dismantling works. In this case cross module simply irreplaceable!

Why cross-module is needed?

Standard situation: the lead-in cable comes immediately to the lead-in machine, after which it disperses through the bags that go directly to the consumers. On the one hand, there are no violations in such a scheme, but further installation of electrical wiring can be slightly difficult.

When installing the cross-module, the wires from the input machine first go to it, and then to the machines to the consumers. Such a scheme is simple and convenient, since, firstly, the number of wires is minimized, and secondly, it becomes possible to quickly connect (disconnect) new lines.

Advice! When installing a new cross-module on a three-phase system, it is necessary to select a product with a stock of holes, for example, a model with four busbars, 15 holes each. A small supply will save nerve cells in the future when you want to install a hob, put a boiler or connect a low-current line.

The four busbars of the cross-module should be distributed between the three phases and the working zero. It is best to attach the grounding separately and marked accordingly. The entire installation of the conductors to the cross-module is simple and quick: unscrew the fixing screw on the bus with a screwdriver, insert the stripped end of the wire into the hole and tighten, tighten the screw securely.

The cross module is a convenient and safe product that will save a lot of time and effort in the future. It has an affordable price and a long service life - irreplaceable qualities for electrical products.
