5 bedroom design mistakes: how to avoid them - designer tips

There are a number of typical mistakes that can subsequently cause a feeling of insecurity in the owners, anxiety and a constant feeling of fatigue. What are these mistakes and how to avoid them - read on.

5. Heavy construction above the headboard

Bad decision. It's hard not to feel anxious when something big hangs over you every night. Moreover, sometimes it may just be unsafe.

Good decision. In case of an acute storage problem, it is better to place the main part of the cabinets on the sides of the bed, and try to leave the area above the headboard as free as possible.

4. Incorrect bed position

Bad decision. The center of the composition, one way or another, should be the bed. This is the starting point to be guided by when integrating other items into the interior.

Good decision. Therefore, it is better not to put the bed at the entrance to the room, in the corner or headboard to the window. The ideal place is by the wall perpendicular to the window, or in the partition between the windows. But in any case, the optimal location can be found regardless of the size of the bedroom.

3. The design is too dark

Bad decision. A dark bedroom interior is not suitable for anyone. You can easily dismiss this when choosing a room design, but then you will most likely understand.

It is known that blacks, chocolate, dark blues and purples can put a lot of pressure on a person and cause a heavy lifting in the morning.

Good decision. If your love for these colors is stronger, try better to choose derived shades a couple of tones lighter and do not forget to combine them, for example, with a white or cream palette.

2. Emptiness in the room

Bad decision. Of course, the bed in the bedroom is the main thing. But don't limit yourself to her. The deserted space around and bare walls are unlikely to contribute to a joyful awakening in the morning.

Good decision. Remember that this is purely your room, and in it you can fully realize yourself in the interior. Decorate the bedroom with your hobbies and tastes in mind, so that you yourself will be interested in looking around while lying in bed.

1. Mirror opposite the bed

Bad decision. This is all the more a bad idea if you are naturally shy and your psyche is not very strong. Who knows what may seem to be reflected in half-asleep.

Good decision. Before the bedroom starts to give you anxiety, it is better to move the mirror so that you cannot see yourself in it from bed. If we are talking, for example, about a mirrored door of a wardrobe, and it is not possible to rearrange it, then it is probably still worth abandoning such a door surface and purchasing an autonomous mirror.
