In some cases, an isolated bedroom can be obtained at the expense of the kitchen area. That is, as a result of redevelopment, you will get an isolated bedroom and a very tiny kitchen. It is strictly forbidden to move the kitchen to the living room, so it will have to huddle in the corners of the apartment.

The easiest way is to move the kitchen into the corridor area, this is perfectly legal. In this case, you can divide the space in half: make a small kitchen near the riser (according to the norms, it should be at least 5 m²), and leave the bedroom near the window. A window can be made between the rooms so that natural light enters the kitchen.

It is possible to place the bedroom area in the back of the room, but in this case the bedroom will remain without a window. The space can be fenced off with a glass partition or curtain.

You can do the opposite: leave the living area without direct daylight. Light can enter this area through a window between the living room and bedroom or through a glass sliding partition.

It is important to take into account a number of other points: the kitchen cannot be swapped with bathrooms, and the hood connection must not be changed. In addition, the exit from the only bathroom in the apartment cannot be in the living room, that is, the bathroom must open either into the hallway or into the corridor.

To save space when designing a one-room apartment, you can insulate the balcony, if there is one, and arrange a dressing room there. So this area will work for you all year round and 100%. At the same time, it will allow you to make redevelopment with less losses.
