When all the difficulties of the rough repair are left behind, the most pleasant and interesting stage begins - the choice of the color of the walls. How not to be mistaken? What if the color is too bright? And if very dark? What if the shade quickly gets bored? And so it turns out that the majority chooses the most neutral, most harmless beige color, so as not to be mistaken.

Designer Victoria Skorobogatko told, what is the danger of beige and how to find truly "your" color.

6. Cunning beige

This too neutral color often plays a cruel joke. They hoped for warmth and comfort, rest for the eyes, but got dull walls of an expressionless yellowish-pale shade. The walls are painted, but the colors in the room seem to have not increased.

5. Use quality paints

The first reason is the use of cheap paints. The paint manufacturer saves not only on its quality, but also on the amount of pigments that make up the paint color.

For example, good English paints have 40% more pigment than regular ones. This gives the color depth characteristic of noble shades. Such paint will look different under different lighting conditions, opening up new shades.

4. Play the beige

The second reason is that it's actually not easy to work with beige and collect the rest of the interior color scheme for it. So that the beige interior does not look monotonous and dull, you need to introduce many contrasting textures of materials - canvas, velvet, linen, silk, suede, a combination of glossy and matte surfaces.

3. What if not beige?

If beige is not easy to work with, which one will be easier?

As a rule, complex interesting colors, to which it is easy to pick up textiles and interior details, are different shades of gray, blue, coffee, green, terracotta and burgundy. But everything is very individual.

2. Take a closer look at your style

In choosing a color, the main thing is not to rush, but to listen carefully to yourself. What are your personal preferences? What colors do you enjoy looking at in everyday life?

It can be the color of sea water or warm sand, tree bark or fresh spring greenery. Perhaps it is the color of coffee with milk or a bar of your favorite chocolate? If it is difficult to give an answer, then look into your wardrobe. Very often it is in it that your favorite shades and color combinations are present.

1. Refer to art

Another great way to color your walls is to start by choosing a painting, painting, that you enjoy. Perhaps such a picture already exists and will take its place in the future interior, or it is just an artwork from the Internet that is pleasant to look at.
