5. Look around

Finding vintage items is very simple, and in fair condition. And most importantly, with the right approach, you can do without the cost of restoration.

Almost every family has preserved interior items from the past. Try to take a new look at old Soviet lace napkins, sideboards, dial phones, suitcases.

4. Composition is our everything

Take a Soviet veneered chipboard cabinet as an example. Very typical and very familiar to everyone. Today people are in a hurry to get rid of such items, but if you want to give the room a vintage touch, this is not necessary.

It is better to choose one accent and match everything else to it.

3. Beauty is in the little things

Pay attention to the white glossy Soviet tiles that can be found in communal apartments and crossings of the Moscow metro. A panel made of such tiles or any other will fit very nicely into a modern interior. Or it can become a table top for a small table. Have you found pieces of different tiles or broken ones? Let's mix! You can even decorate part of the wall like this.

Everything is possible, there is only one limitation - your imagination.

2. Don't overload

Don't try to stuff everything into space. Better less, but better quality. Minimalism is also a trend and does not give up its positions, you need to keep your finger on the pulse and not go into clutter.

Use closed boxes for storage, worrying in advance about how their appearance fits with the entire interior. Vintage suitcases and chests are also closed boxes.

1. Informed means armed

If the object of your vintage love needs a little restoration, you see the strength to fulfill it - go for it! But don't forget to prepare first and check the technical information so you don't get upset.

For example, when repainting furniture, one must remember that it is necessary to remove the old layer, prepare the base with primer and then start painting, keeping all the recommendations from the coating manufacturer.
