In this material, I have collected a few more useful homemade products that will help simplify the dacha life.

1. Garden hose mat

A leaky garden hose can be used to make a practical outdoor rug. Wear-resistant rubber is not afraid of the vagaries of the weather and regular use. Due to its structure, the mat is moisture permeable and non-slip even in rain. Decent weight does not allow the product to fidget and budge.

To create a small rug, you need a hose about five meters long and several dozen plastic clamps. You need to tighten the turns together tightly, but without enthusiasm. Otherwise, the hose will be compressed and it will be uncomfortable to walk on the mat.

If plastic ties are not at hand, they can be replaced with strong synthetic rope or wire.

2. Boots for drying boots

In order for the shoes to dry well after going into the forest or working in wet weather, they must be left upside down. To do this, you can make the simplest device, which is a shelf with small perches. The latter can be located both obliquely and parallel to the ground.

To create such a dryer, you need a rounded pole and a small block. The cut sticks are fixed in the holes with glue or small nails. The design is so simple that even a person far from construction can handle it. It will take no more than one hour to create.

To prevent the perches from becoming moldy and not darkening from constant moisture, they should be soaked in a protective solution. You can buy it at any hardware store.

3. Liquid Fertilizer Filter

Liquid fertilizers have always been popular with gardeners. You don't need to spend money on their preparation, they are completely natural and quite effective. There are many different recipes, but they all have one thing in common. Before use, the infusion must be filtered through a colander, which may not be at hand at the right time. A homemade filter will help solve the problem.

To create a homemade product, you will need a plastic bottle with a volume of one and a half liters, a small block, a piece of plywood and two self-tapping screws. From the tools you will need scissors, a drill and a screwdriver.

A step-by-step instruction on how to create can be found in my previous article - Making a simple filter for liquid fertilizers from a plastic bottle

4. Sifter for soil and compost

Not all raw materials in a compost pit rot at the same rate. As a result, undecomposed debris such as fruit pits or wood pieces are found in the finished fertilizer. In order not to carry them to the garden, the earth should be sieved. This can be done using a simple homemade metal mesh set at an angle of 45 °.

The principle of operation of the device is very simple. Dry soil or compost is poured onto the mesh with a shovel, which acts as a filter. Rubbish remains on the surface, and only the earth falls down.

Such sifters can remove stones from the sand and lumps of clay from the ground. You can buy a mesh for a fixture at a major hardware store. The frame is made of bars or metal corners.

5. Snail and slug trap

Two plastic bottles can be used to make a great snail and slug trap. To do this, cut off the lower part of each container so that the height of the walls remains about 10 cm. Next, you need to divide the circle into four parts, two of which are cut out so that about 4 cm remains from the ground to the edge. After that, both parts should be aligned with each other and secured with a stapler. The result should be a container with two windows.

We bury our trap in the garden so that the lower border of the window is at ground level. We press the device with a stone so that it is not blown away by the wind. Finally, pour the bait onto the bottom. To prepare it in a glass of water, you need to stir a teaspoon of flour, sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of yeast. The trap is ready. Having fallen into the liquid, the pests will no longer be able to reach the surface. Mixtures with a wide variety of components can be used as bait.

I recently got groups In contact with and Classmates, there I post announcements of new materials every day.
