The summer season has already begun, so I decided to make a selection of useful tools for gardening and gardening. This time I managed to collect not only practical, but also very cheap things. Everyone can buy them, regardless of their income.
1. Tomato brush holder
This small but very useful device allows you to avoid breaking the brushes of tomatoes under the weight of ripening fruits. The brush holders only fit on problem branches, so one set of 50 pieces is enough for an entire greenhouse. You can buy such a package for 90 rubles at any gardening store or order online with home delivery.
Despite the simple principle of operation, brush holders solve a rather important task. They prevent breakage and deformation of the branches, allowing nutrients to flow smoothly to the fruit.
2. Trimmer protection
When mowing grass in your area, it is very easy to damage the trunks of young trees. The trimmer line spinning at high speed leaves deep cuts on the bark. Injuries cause severe stress to plants and are a weak point through which pests and diseases penetrate.
To avoid damage, the trunks of fruit trees can be covered with a special plastic net. This type of protection can be found in many large online stores. The cost of such a device varies from 80 to 200 rubles, depending on the size and material.
Some types of safety nets are attached to the ground with iron pins, so they are able to withstand repeated hits of the line while still remaining in place.
3. Soft-sheathed wire
You can use a simple rope or wire to tie the plants to a support, but this is not always practical. In the first case, small cuttings are inconvenient to tie, and in the second it is easy to damage the delicate stems. Soft-sheat wire is a simple solution. It is easily attached without damaging plant tissues at all. You can cut off a piece of the desired length using ordinary scissors or pruning shears.
This wire is sold both in spools and in cut form. The price depends on the type of casing and starts at 80 rubles per package.
4. Hose guide
To prevent the garden hose from dragging around the beds during watering, special guides can be installed along the paths. These small fixtures are plastic pegs with two or three rollers. Located between the rotating elements, the hose is easily pulled along a predetermined trajectory, which not only saves energy, but also maintains fit.
These guides are available at most gardening stores. The cost starts at 99 rubles for one piece. There are many different designs, however I would recommend a 3-roller product. In this case, the friction of the hose will be minimal.
5. Strawberry supports
To prevent strawberry berries and twigs from lying on the ground, you can purchase plastic supports for the bushes. The cost of one product starts from 40 rubles. It is most profitable to buy a small set, since in this case the price will drop to 30-35 rubles per piece. When shopping, pay attention to the size and shape of the cutout. Not all supports are suitable for large bushes.
I would not advise buying supports in the form of rings, since they often pinch the branches with berries. It is better to overpay a little for products in the form of plates.
