We will talk about them today.
1. We use a grinder
Very often, a grinder is used to sharpen the chainsaw chain. This place is one of the most popular today. It is best to place the chainsaw on a table and clamp its tire in a vice for reliability. At the same time, the sander is set to the lowest speed. The disc is guided at an angle of 30 degrees relative to the plane of the tooth. You need to press on the tooth only with light movements. The most important thing with this method of sharpening is not to rush and constantly monitor the temperature of the chain teeth being sharpened. Under no circumstances should they be overheated. Otherwise, the tooth can be broken.
Some "masters" recommend going from the other side and fixing not the chain and the saw, but the grinder itself before starting sharpening. It should be noted that fixing the angle grinder in a vice or brackets is unsafe. Never use this method.
2. We use a grinding machine
A sharpener is the best choice for those who use a chainsaw with enviable regularity. Of course, you will have to spend a lot of money once, but in the end, a chainsaw grinder will save the owner from a huge number of completely unnecessary problems. The tool allows you to securely fasten the chain, is equipped with protective equipment, as well as a convenient and understandable adjustment system. Each saw tooth (as in all other methods) is sharpened individually, followed by turning the chain 180 degrees.
The main advantage of the grinding machine is that even the most inexperienced operator can use it. It is enough to thoroughly study the instructions and remember about safety during work. Today on the market you can find many decent, interesting models.

3. File goes into business
The simplest, cheapest, safest, but also the longest way to sharpen a chainsaw chain is realized with a regular file. Before you start sharpening, you will also have to fix the saw in a vice. It will also be absolutely not superfluous to get hold of a special clip for sharpening. It costs mere pennies, and makes the work easier (and faster) at times. The file clamp is set at the familiar 30 degrees.

File movements should be light and consistent. If we are working with a new tool, then 5-7 movements should be enough to sharpen one side of the tooth. Sharpening is done gradually on each side of the chain.
