Working as a plumber is not only money from clients, but also free material that is not in demand by the customer. Or given away just like that with the words: - "Why do I need him, you need it more" -. This is how I still have the material from which I will make a water heater that does not require electricity.
For this craft I used 10 meters of low pressure polyethylene pipe. Black water pipe, popular with HDPE. It will absorb energy well to heat water.
From this pipe it is necessary to make such "patterns". I fasten the intersections with nylon clamps. All this is done in five minutes.
The next step is to connect the pipes to the plumbing. If your water flows by gravity, then you can connect them with a hose. I toss my solar concentrator onto a flat roof that heats up to high temperatures.
Especially for these purposes, I ran the summer water supply through the roof to the summer kitchen.
Having fixed and connected this free water heater, I check its operation. I measure the temperature of the water:
In 30 minutes of work, from the evening sun, it was possible to warm up the water to a temperature of 38 degrees. The water flowed in a weak stream, sufficient to lather oily dishes. And as soon as the water has cooled down, it is already possible to rinse the dishes.
I understand that the idea is not new, but I think in the future to modernize it and make a more powerful system with thermal insulation. 👍
