Recently I disassembled a kettle for 300 rubles from Mr. Traffic Light and found out why it is so cheap. After the disassembly, a brilliant idea came to me. Why not make a steam generator out of it, for household needs. The fact is that a finished, factory-made device costs more than five thousand. Therefore, I decided to start assembling homemade products from a cheap teapot.

The first step is to remove the spout by peeling off the contact soldering. But that's not the task. The wall of the kettle is only 0.2 mm and when removing a piece of "foil" holes formed at the place of welding pokes.

Flip through the galleries, there are bright photos waiting for you.

It is necessary to somehow close up these holes. We don't need them. By the way, we need to kiss the hands of the one who invented cold welding. She is not replaceable in this place at all. We sculpt it by making a welding pancake, according to the instructions. After sealing on both sides, left the welding process alone for a day.

The next technological process is drilling 20mm holes with a stepped drill. One "hole" will be used to connect the oxygen hose. And the second is for filling water and controlling the pressure inside the generator.

The next step is the assembly of the fittings onto the assembled threads. I use FUM tape. Since the working medium is gas. In our case, par.

Some attentive readers ask themselves the question: “How did you make the cover? Attached it to the teapot? " Everything is very simple. But somehow the photos weren't saved on the phone. It was at this point. I promise to drive to the garage and take photos of the lid. Look for them in the comments.

Next, you need to find out, during the installation process, whether I have damaged the main function of the kettle, boiling water. I pour water, close the lid. Turn on... Boils.

All that remains is to connect the oxygen hose, put on the glasses and test our "hirabora".

Tests have shown that sufficient steam is released. You can watch the process of work in the video.

Why is it needed?

  • Steam off difficult dirt.
  • Warm up something without fire, explosive, steam the tank for example.
  • Steam for a bath, hamam.
  • Remove ice

This is the first thing that came to my mind. There are probably thousands of uses.
