Something is not right here, I thought to myself when I saw wet toilet paper on Mr. Traffic Light's shelf, this combination of words does not fit in my head. A priori, the tissue paper must be dry.
When a person reads on the packaging that it is "paper", then he will throw it and flush it down the toilet. And if the discarded "wet paper" does not dissolve like normal toilet paper, then my brothers and I will have a lot of blockage challenges. And this is very bad! Who doesn't know I'm a plumber.
But maybe the papermaking technology has stepped forward and I missed something. Therefore, I decided to buy packaging and examine the contents. And also conduct an experiment on solubility.
Upon arrival home, I immediately soaked three contestants in jars of water for a day, for objectivity:
- An ordinary wet wipe from the same company.
- Four-layer, real, dry ZEVA paper /
- Wet toilet paper.
Until Soaked three personal care products studied the characteristics of VTB (wet toilet paper).
As the manufacturer assures, this VTB can be thrown into the toilet after use, but there is a note, no more than two pieces at a time.
Package content
We take out, in my hands was a napkin, wet. Made of some material. In our case, it doesn't smell like paper.
If this product is compared with an ordinary napkin, then wet TB is much thinner than a napkin, probably, according to the manufacturer's intention, due to this, it should dissolve in water. And do not cause blockages.
If you pull a napkin and a wet TB, the latter breaks more easily.
A day has passed
I check the contents in the banks:
- Toilet paper completely lost its shape, loosened, turned into a slurry, which in no way threatens the sewer pipes with clogging.
- Wet wipe after a day, being in water, it has not lost its shape and strength. This product is very dangerous for pipes. It can easily narrow the tissueization section and lead to blockage.
The wet toilet paper did not dissolve, as expected...
Dear readers, in no case throw such wet wipes down the toilet. They will cause many problems for plumbers. And also for the residents of the first floors, from which all the blockage comes out. If you deliberately throw such a hygiene item, then you should know that a lot of non-literary words from locksmiths and tenants who get blockages into the apartment are pouring on you. And what is written "wet toilet paper"then this is a marketing ploy that forces you to buy" napkins "under a different name. It does not include paper. It also cannot be flushed down the drain.
That's all I wanted to say!
