Some time ago I wrote an article on how we decorated an ordinary glass plate, I will leave a link to it at the end. Today there will be something similar, but a little different and, I like this option more.
I want to say right away that this plate is for decorative purposes, although you can even eat from it.
To decorate the plate, we used:
· Glass plate;
· Decoupage napkin;
· Nail polish remover;
· PVA glue;
· Brushes;
· Acrylic paints;
· Acrylic lacquer.
Such glass plates are not expensive, they took a set of 6 pieces and each plate cost about 70 rubles.
We use acrylic paints and varnish for construction, they are not expensive and quite high quality for needlework.
We bought napkins at the supermarket.
Step 1.
Wipe the back of the plate with nail polish remover and leave to dry for a few minutes.
Step 2.
Cut out the fragment from the decoupage napkin that we want to glue on the plate.
Step 3.
Place the plate fragment face down.
From above, we begin to apply PVA glue, which was diluted a little with water so that it was liquid.
Leave to dry for 2-3 hours.
Step 4.
Using a small brush, apply acrylic varnish only to the napkin. It is imperative to apply 2 layers of varnish with a break for drying, about 1 hour.
Step 5.
After the second coat of varnish has dried, apply 2 coats of white acrylic paint. Here, too, a prerequisite is 2 layers of paint.
Step 6.
When the white paint has dried, paint the entire back of the plate with black paint. We paint with a sponge 2 times.
Step 7.
We cover the entire back side with acrylic varnish 2 times.
The plate is ready.
