Greetings, dear readers!

In the attic I found an old ceramic jug (or jar) with chips, but no cracks. Immediately I came up with the idea to give new life to this wonderful jug.

Someone will say, it's easier to throw out and buy a new one, so I will answer, what could be more interesting than giving new life to old things? And buying is the easiest thing.

For work, we used:

· The pitcher itself;

· Eggshell;

· PVA glue;

· Solvent;

· Decoupage napkins;

· Acrylic paints;

· Acrylic lacquer;

· Brushes.

Step 1.

Wipe the jug with solvent to degrease it.

Step 2.

Covered the entire jug with white acrylic paint using a small sponge. The paint was applied in 2 layers, with a break of 30 minutes between layers. Left to dry completely.

Step 3.

The necessary fragments were separated from the decoupage napkin you liked.

Step 4.

We will glue the napkin to the jug with PVA glue, which is slightly diluted with water so that it is thin. When all the fragments are glued, leave to dry for 2-3 hours.

Step 5.

To fix the glued fragments and not to stain them during further work, we cover with acrylic varnish for 1 layer.

Step 6.

We glue the entire jug around the napkins with eggshells. We glue on thick PVA.

Before working with the shell, you need to prepare it a little, how to do it, see here.

Step 7.

After the shell has set well, paint it 1-2 times with white paint.

Step 8.

Then we go through a little different colors (you can choose any color you like) using a sponge.

Step 9.

We cover with acrylic varnish 3 times.

The jug came to life!

It can be safely washed, the varnish protects it well.
