Hello dear friends and guests of the channel!
After the repair, I still have pieces of drywall that were lying around in the garage and waiting in the wings. I have a ceiling drywall, 9 mm thick, but it doesn't matter, wall or even plywood, fiberboard, etc. will do.
In general, I decided to turn these pieces into an interesting decor for the home, and now I want to share with you what I did and how I did it.
This home decor is quite simple and not very expensive in materials. According to my calculations, I spent about 150 rubles. I counted on the fact of the material spent and at my prices. You may have a different amount.
For work I needed:
· Pieces of drywall;
· PVA glue, hot glue;
· Knife, roller;
· Marker, ruler, thick thread;
· Acrylic paints;
· Acrylic lacquer.
Step 1.
First of all, I decided on the sizes and patterns of the decor. I drew a sketch, which I will do.
Step 2.
I cut out 3 rectangles of the required size from drywall and primed them with PVA glue diluted with water.
Step 3.
I spread the pieces on the table and transferred the patterns from the sketch to the cardboard.
Decor sizes and patterns can be made whatever you want, as you want.
Step 4.
I applied hot glue along the lines.
Step 5.
On the back of all panels, I marked the places for attaching the thread and secured it.
Step 6.
Using a small roller I painted all 3 panels with gray acrylic paint and left to dry for 1-2 hours.
Step 7.
Some areas were painted with red acrylic paint.
When it dried, I added a little silver paint. Also acrylic.
At the end I covered everything with acrylic varnish.
Here's the decor.
