I want to share with you how we made cool gift boxes from plastic bottles, foamiran and some other materials. The boxes turned out to be very cute and look no worse than the factory ones.
Here's what we used:
· Plastic bottles of 1.5 liters;
· Knife, scissors;
· Self-adhesive film;
· Foamiran 2 mm thick;
· Liquid superglue and universal transparent glue;
· Half beads and bows.
A plastic bottle is needed that has a smooth plastic in the middle without bends and ribs. Instead of a film, you can use decorative tape, it will be even easier and faster. We didn't have it at hand at that time.
Step 1.
A suitable flat part was cut out of a plastic bottle and bent into a heart.
Step 2.
Strips 1.5 cm wide were cut from the self-adhesive film.
Step 3.
Glued a couple of strips to the cut off part of the bottle.
Step 4.
A square of the desired size was cut out of foamiran.
Attaching the bottle, outlined the outline with a toothpick.
They applied liquid glue (it seems to be also called second glue or something like that. Because it instantly grasps) and glued the heart.
Cut off the excess.
Step 5.
One more heart was cut out from foamiran, as well as a strip 1.5 cm wide, on which the film was glued.
We glued the strip to the heart with universal transparent glue.
Step 6.
A tape with half beads and a bow were glued to the lid.
