Friends, hello!

We had a plastic laundry basket, the lid of which was accidentally broken. We decided to make something out of it, and after a little thought, we made a wonderful flowerpot (or flower pot) for a summer residence.

Here's what we needed:

· The basket itself;

· Cement, sand;

· Old rags;

· PVA construction glue;

· Silicone molds;

· Acrylic paints;

· Universal varnish in a spray can.

Step 1.

In the bottom of the basket, a hole was melted with a soldering iron to drain the water. If you don't have a soldering iron, you can heat an old knife over a fire and make a hole.

Step 2.

In a container, they diluted cement with water to the density of liquid sour cream.

They started dipping rags in the cement mortar and gluing them to the basket. First the bottom, then the sides.

On the front, the rag was laid with folds.

Rags were smeared with the remains of cement mortar. They left to dry for about 12 hours.

Step 3.

Mix 2 parts sand with 1 part cement and add water to make the solution flowable. The solution was poured into a silicone mold and left for 12 hours.

Step 4.

We moistened part of the basket with water and glued on some solution, the same as for pouring into the mold, but thicker.

PVA glue was applied to the back of the flower and glued to the basket.

The flower around was still fixed with a solution and left to dry for 12 hours.

Step 5.

Painted with gray acrylic paint, and when it dried a little white.

Step 6.

We covered the flowerpot in 2 layers with universal varnish from a spray can.

Everything is ready!

We buy universal varnish in the construction market, where they sell paints. It protects very well against moisture and water. And versatile, because it is suitable for almost any material.
