Consider the option of a small kitchen with a 50 cm sink. Saving work space, the wings will be docked at an angle of 90 degrees; worktops with a width of 60 cm and 42 cm.

• We get the following: the width of the box is 35.5 cm equal to the width of the table top + its "protrusion" 40 mm in front and 25 mm in the back. Total: 35.5 + 4 + 2.5 = 42 cm.

Further, our joint is obtained as a result of combining both modules with the help of a "blank wall" to which a 35.5 cm box is attached by means of two connecting strips.

Important! The joint will pass through these two planks to maintain a right angle (the presence of only one plank will lead to a skew of the box relative to the perpendicular axis).

In this case, we get a neat joint, not a "cutting" eye: the ends of the "blank wall" of the 35.5 cm box and the docking bar are located in the same plane.

Let's consider the calculation of the width:

• From the corner of the room to the table top (42 cm) - the width is 149 cm;
• From the edge of the countertop to the box (bottom) - the gap is 1 cm;
• Module with rounded shelves - 25 cm wide;
• Distance from the wall (220 cm) to the sink box - 10 cm;
• The depth of this piece of furniture is 46 cm.

Determine the width:

149 - 1 - 25 - 3.2 (docking bar + "blank wall") - 46 - 10 = 63.8 cm.
