There is nothing to do without household appliances in the kitchen, now almost all work is performed by various electrical appliances. That is why it is very important to choose suitable equipment for yourself that will last a long time, will work without failures and will fit into the interior of the room.
But in addition to external factors, there are also functional components, which will be discussed below.
It's hard to imagine a modern kitchen without an oven and other household appliances.
Dependent devices
The difference between dependent kits and conventional technology lies in the inextricable connection between the two elements. That is, it is the same as a standard kitchen stove, with the difference that the panel is built into the worktop, and is already connected to the oven with wires.
In this case, it is the oven that plays the role of a "system unit", it contains all the regulators, buttons and control systems not only for the cabinet itself, but also for the burners. Hence the big minus - the lack of choice when installing the hob and oven.
There are other disadvantages though:
Choice of ready-made sets of household appliances in the store - most of them are dependent
- Dependent built-in appliances for the kitchen began to sell much worse, this is due to the above problem. After all, you see, in some cases it is just necessary to divide the oven and install it in a separate module. This is not bad from the visual point of view, and very practical.
Note! Although the demand for household appliances did not fall, but, on the contrary, increased. People prefer free appliances that can be placed independently of each other. For example, often the oven is installed in a kitchen cabinet, and the cooking is cut in near the sink.
- Dependence has given rise to another disadvantage - in the event of a breakdown of the central control (oven), the hob will automatically fail. Unfortunately, you cannot reconnect it directly to the power source with your own hands, at least, this deprives you of warranty service.
- The inconvenience of using dependent devices is due to the fact that the free hob has temperature controls directly on the panel. And in a related technique, they are located above the oven. Of course, this is not such a critical drawback, but, nevertheless, for many, this fact is also a selection criterion.
You can see that there are no controls on the hob
Now you understand that if these factors do not suit you, then the dependent technique is not for you.
The appearance of hobs can sometimes be compared with the technology of the future.
Positive sides
In any case, each technique has positive qualities that you should know about:
- The first is the price of the dependent kit. It is slightly less than for individual devices, so purchasing such a technique can save you a little. In some cases, the difference in cost can range up to several thousand rubles.
- Secondly, there is no chance that the oven and hob will differ in appearance. After all, you must admit, when choosing devices on your own, it is difficult to take into account all factors: color, shape, regulators, font or icons.
Important! It is the color scheme that most often differs, even if the same company produces several models of this device.

Dependent kits
There are three types of dependent technique (you can see each of them in the photo):
- Electric hob and oven. This type is most often used in apartment buildings. It is in this segment that there is the most choice in terms of models, design and cost.
- Electric oven and gas hob. This option is considered slightly less popular, however, it can also be found in high-rise buildings.
Gas panel with power regulators on the side
- Gas set: cooking and oven. Ideal for country houses where gas is available. It is because of the lack of constant gas that these devices are not so relevant for an apartment in the city center.
Also, the dependent technique is divided into two types:
- Absolutely dependent, which is sold strictly as a set and does not offer the buyer any choice.
- With a choice, when the consumer can choose the hob from 3-5 models for the oven he likes.
Advice! Be sure to check the compatibility of the devices. In some stores, equipment sellers are ready to do anything to get rid of the goods.
Dimensions for built-in appliances
Siemens built-in kitchen appliances, like most other appliances, have certain dimensions, for which you need to make cabinets:
- Depth countertops for kitchen must be at least 60 cm, respectively, cabinet sides have dimensions of 520 or 550 mm. The dimensions are standard, so when purchasing ready-made furniture, you should not worry about not joining.
- The height of the pedestals ranges from 60 to 85 cm. It all depends on the chosen model.
- Width kitchen cabinet (from sidewall to sidewall) should not be less than 568 or 868 mm.
For hobs with two burners, cutout dimensions range from 268 m
Important! Before you order furniture for an individual project, be sure to choose household appliances, otherwise you will have to choose after the fact.
Control Panel
The dependent technique has a special control center for all devices, so we will talk about it in more detail.
- Firstly, all appliances are located in one place - on the oven. This is what distinguishes the dependent technique from the standard one, on which only the oven power regulator is located.
- Secondly, there are several types of regulators. The first type is found mainly on cheap models - without smooth switching. The second type is more modern - a smooth regulator that allows you to accurately set the required temperature. The third type is used on expensive models - buttons are backlit and recessed into the panel, so to speak, child protection.
- Thirdly, glass-ceramic hobs have a small hob that displays all the data: which hotplate is operating, power and residual heat indicator.
This hob has a complete control panel
Additional functions
- Some models of ovens have off timers. This is a fairly convenient function that allows you not to forget about cooking and turn off the device. Previously, such appliances were equipped with conventional "alarm clocks"; modern models have an automatic oven shutdown.
- For convenience and safety, be sure to choose equipment with a child lock for the family. On the oven, it looks like a special lock-lever that must be pulled, only after which you can open the cabinet door.
- Pyrolytic cleaning will not hurt either. It allows you to clean hardened and dried fat and soot on the walls of the device by increasing the temperature. You do not need to use any means, just turn on this mode, then wait until the oven has cooled down and remove the dirt with a rag or sponge.
- The core temperature probe lets you know more precisely whether your food is ready. This function is useful in cases where strict adherence to temperature conditions is required.
- Also, some models have a grill and convection function. Useful additions for campfire cookers.
- Automatic oven shutdown is another useful feature. It works in cases when you accidentally forgot to turn off the device.
- The hobs have a useful function - adjusting the size of the heating. That is, the appliance recognizes the size of the cookware and heats up only the zone underneath.
Two burners have this function, while one of them has a heating function
- Keeping the dish warm allows the food to be heated for some time, while preventing overheating and preserving its taste and aroma.
- Standby mode allows you to save energy. After removing the cookware from the hob, the hotplate goes into standby mode until you return the dish again.
- Storing the order of actions in memory. The functions are available only in expensive models, but they are very useful and practical. In it, you can enter, for example, how you prepared a dish, gradually decreasing the temperature or, conversely, increasing it. At this time, you do not have to be distracted by constant adjustment.
- Modern hobs have the same auto-off and on-timer functions as ovens.
As you can see, Siemens built-in kitchen appliances have many interesting and useful qualities that can make cooking easier. If anything, they make the life of a housewife easier and better.
Purchase recommendations
This instruction will help you make the right choice:
- First of all, decide on the material: enamel, aluminum, glass ceramics or stainless steel. Each option has its own advantages, for example, steel can withstand the effects of household chemicals, glass ceramics are outwardly the most attractive.
- Once you know all the additional functions, it will be easier for you to decide on the purchase of equipment. Remember that the cost of the device depends on the auxiliary capabilities.
- Try to determine in advance the location of household appliances. This is important in cases where independent devices are purchased; more precisely, it is the dimensions of the equipment that are important.
- You should also carefully check the integrity of the equipment in the store. Pay particular attention to glass and glossy surfaces and door openers.
If you don't want to build appliances into a headset, then buy a regular stove, with it there are less problems
Conclusion
As you can see, built-in appliances are not just a household appliance, but a whole system in which everything is important: appearance, internal components, equipment, functionality. Therefore, the choice of technology must be approached very responsibly, with knowledge of the matter (see also article Built-in kitchen appliances - necessity and functionality).
We also suggest that you familiarize yourself with additional information, which is in the video at the end of the article. We hope that everything you read will benefit you.
