Features of planting in spring
When planting in spring, some features should be considered:
- The planting hole has been prepared since autumn, or at least in at least two weeks. Mineral fertilizers, compost or humus are added to the enriched soil layer. Fresh manure is prohibited.
- In order for the seedlings to take root, the air temperature must be above 0.
- The soil in the planting pit must be completely melted.
- Seedlings should be planted before the buds swell on them.
- Before planting, carefully inspect the roots of the plant and remove dead and dry ones.
- If the root system is dry, then place the seedling in a container of water for a couple of hours.
Planting cherry seedlings
For cherries, you should choose a sunny, wind-protected place. This plant will not like both stagnant moisture in the soil and its drying out. The soil should be light, fertile and without stagnant moisture, a high potassium content is welcome.
A large bucket of last year's compost, 500 g of ash and 300 g of superphosphate should be added to the planting pit.
Planting cherry seedlings
Sandy loam and loamy soil is quite suitable for the cherry tree. And it will survive a short-term drought with dignity. But the place for cherries should be stick out according to the same principles as for cherry seedlings. Groundwater should be at a depth of at least 2 meters.
Fertilizers are added to the hole, as for the previous plant.
Planting plum seedlings
Plum is planted only in spring, the seedlings do not have time to take root during autumn planting and in 90% of cases they freeze. This plant prefers heavier, even clayey soil. And in waterlogged soil it feels comfortable.
When planting in a pit, wood ash is introduced without fail up to half a kilogram per square meter. A bucket of humus, 250 g of superphosphate and 50 g of potassium chloride are also added.
Planting pear seedlings
In the spring, pear varieties are planted that do not tolerate winter well without shelter, these can be Michurinskaya, Elena, Svetlyanka, Russian beauty and others.
The landing site should be dry and warm. She will like permeable, fertile, but quite heavy soil. 2-3 buckets of humus, superphosphate (200-300 g) and ash (up to 1 kg) are introduced into the hole.
Planting apricot seedlings
When choosing apricot seedlings for planting, study the variety well for frost resistance. This is one of the thermophilic plants. For this reason, it is worth planting it only in the spring.
A gentle, west-facing slope should be chosen. The land can be both sandy loam and loam.
In addition to a bucket of humus or compost, 500 g of superphosphate, 700-800 g of lime, up to 2 kg of ash, 100-150 g of ammonium nitrate and 80-100 g of potassium salt are introduced into the pit.
If the climatic conditions allow and the temperature in winter is at least -25 degrees, then in the spring you can plant peaches, hazel, almonds.
