A bicycle is an excellent means of transportation, environmentally friendly and certainly useful for yourself, your beloved. Most of them, among other things, had a high level of quality, thanks to which many modern bicycles in this matter are not even close to Soviet ones. Let us recall several of the most striking and popular models.
1. "Stork"
Brand of the Belarusian Minsk Motorcycle Plant. The company was founded back in 1947. A significant part of the "Storks" were child or adolescent models. Bicycles are successfully produced to this day. A distinctive feature of the models is that most of the "Storks" can be folded in half for transportation.
2. "Tourist"
Ukrainian brand of bicycles. The enterprise and brand "Tourist" were founded in 1923 in Kharkov and successfully exist to this day. The brand's adult and sports bikes have always been especially good. The most famous modern models are Ukraine, Tiger, Junior.
3. Ural
In the Soviet Union, not only Ural cars were made, but also bicycles. They were produced at the Perm Engineering Plant. This vehicle is rightfully considered by many to be the crown of the Soviet cycle building. First of all, Ural is known as a heavy adult road bike.
4. "Tachyon"
Another bike from the Kharkov enterprise. True, the majority of ordinary citizens of the Union knew little about this model. This is because professional bicycles for rallies and tracks were produced under the Tachyon brand. The sporting miracle of technology was produced from 1981 to 1992.
5. "Moscow-80"
Perhaps the most famous track bike in the Soviet Union, which was produced from 1978 to 1981. A total of 52 of these bicycles were made. Despite their rarity, the whole country knew them. And all because it was "Moscow-80" that was made for the Olympics. Later, on their basis, the already mentioned Kharkov "Tachyon" was created.
