The only difference is that the yellow markings are much better visible, and therefore (as is commonly believed) increases the level collective safety on the road, since it will be the yellow stripes that will be much easier to notice in bad weather, and most importantly - under a layer of snow.

There are several types of yellow markings. In accordance with each of them, certain traffic rules apply to the designations. So, double solid yellow markings are used to separate traffic flows. It is strictly forbidden to cross it. Single yellow line applied along curbs and sidewalks, it denotes dangerous boundaries of traffic sections, and also duplicates the sign "Stopping prohibited". Crossing a single continuous line is also prohibited.
