When using lupine as a mulching agent, the plant provides the following advantages:

If you sow lupine next to raspberries in early autumn, then in the spring the plant will bring a lot of benefits to the soil. Special substances contained in the lupine root system will cleanse it of harmful insects.
Attention! Lupine must be used to make mulch before seeds form on the flowers. Otherwise, the plant loses its beneficial properties and becomes an additional weed on the site.
Making feeding
Traditionally, raspberries are fertilized twice a year - in spring and autumn. But there are a number of signs that indicate that the plant needs additional feeding:
- thin and weak shoots, small foliage;
- yellowing of the leaves;
- the rapid growth of shoots and the presence of a dark color in the leaves.
Lupine dressing contains a large amount of humic acids, which facilitate the absorption of nutrients from the soil. Using this fertilizer, you can get sweet and large raspberries.
To create top dressing from lupine, you must perform the following steps:
- The root system of the plant is cleared of large lumps of soil.
- The plant is crushed and filled with water. For 2.5 kg of lupine, 10 liters of water are used.
- The mixture is infused for 8 days.
Before use, the prepared fertilizer is diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 2, and then used for watering raspberries.
When using lupine as a remedy to improve the condition of raspberries, experienced gardeners recommend still give preference to dressings, since then the plant is better nourished with nutritious substances. During the season, 1 such feeding will be enough, the effect of its application can be noticed already after a week.
