From March 1 to June 30, 2021, it will be possible to save money on the metro fare again by paying for it at the turnstiles with Mir cards.
Today, stickers with information about the action have appeared in the metro. There is not a word about the action on the Privetmir website.
When paying with a Mir contactless card, 46 rubles will be debited from it, and then 10 rubles will be returned to the card during the day, that is, the fare will be 36 rubles. This is 6 rubles cheaper than using the Troika card (42 rubles) and 1.5 rubles more than using a travel card for 60 trips (34.5 rubles).
In St. Petersburg, a similar action is going on until the end of the year.
To pay in the Metro, I use an additional card Tinkoff (it can be issued for free to the main card and the next day it will be brought home or to work).
