How to plant seedlings

The first thing to consider is that the plum does not like acidic soil. The best home for a tree is clay or loamy soil. However, if there is no one on the site, you should not worry. Just use dolomite flour as fertilizer. Pour the powder into the dug hole and plant a tree. Choose hybrid trees. They take root better and get sick less.

Another good tip is to put crushed eggshells, peat, manure, superphosphate and urea in the hole where you plan to plant the tree. Place the root in the fertilizer hole, cover the soil near the trunk with mulch. The fertilization process is over. Now water the tree during a dry season all year round. You don't have to worry about the health of the plum.

Caring for a one-year-old tree

The next spring, the young tree is fed with nitrogen fertilizer. We prepare it as follows: dissolve 20 grams of urea in 5 liters of water. We spray the crown with this solution. In late May - early June, after the flowers have fallen off, top dressing is carried out in the second round. Use a nitrophoska solution (30 grams per bucket of water).

The last time you need to feed the plum is at the end of the season. Fertilize with a mixture of ash (70 grams), superphosphate (15 grams), sulfate (15 grams) and a bucket of water. One seedling requires 2 buckets of fertilizer. The mixture must be applied at the root.

How to fertilize mature trees

This must be done before flowering. The fertilizer used is 30 grams of potassium sulfate and 60 grams of urea. Moisten the soil around the tree and loosen it, then pour in the fertilizer. Thus, nutrients are better accepted.

The next stage of fertilization is the moment when the fruits on the tree begin to ripen. Dissolve 30 g of urea and 40 g of nitroammofoska in a bucket of water. It is necessary to prepare 30 liters of fertilizer per plant.

In order to strengthen the tree after the fruiting period and before the coming winter, it needs to be fed a third time. To do this, dissolve 30 grams of potassium sulfate and 40 grams of superphosphate in a bucket of water. For watering one tree, it is necessary to make 20 liters of such a solution.

The last time in the season, the soil for plums should be fertilized with dry substances such as potassium sulfate, magnesium and ammonium hydrogen phosphate. After feeding, we dig up the soil.

In addition to the fertilization periods described above, remember to feed the tree every 3 years with rotted manure. It must be scattered around the trunk and dug up the soil.

If you stick to your feeding schedule, you will have a healthy tree that will bear many delicious fruits!
