Good afternoon, my reader. Often on fruit trees, there is a discharge of ovaries after flowering, which is very upsetting for gardeners. Also, sometimes leaves and unripe crops fall. If the phenomenon does not stop, then it is urgent to identify the causes and find ways to help the plants preserve the harvest.

Factors affecting the death of the ovary
There are several reasons why a culture begins to actively shed ovaries or reduce unripe fruits.
Most often, it is the lack of water that forces the plant to save energy in order to survive on its own and leave a small but strong offspring. During a period of drought, the tree seeks to preserve and saturate with moisture the very first formed crop, and the late one that lags behind in development dumps it as unnecessary ballast. Foliage is sometimes dropped to reduce evaporation.
As the total number of fruits or berries on a tree or bush decreases, the rest will be larger. But the loss of foliage is dangerous, as its decrease directly leads to a slowdown in ripening or the loss of most of the crop. Regular watering with warm water will prevent the plant from weakening, especially in hot weather. It is better to do this in the evening, when there is no longer a direct sun.
Fruit trees are poured at least 15 buckets of 10 liters each 2 times a year: 2 weeks after flowering and 3 weeks before the start of harvest. Stone fruits have a different regime - 7-10 buckets monthly.
Sprinkles at the apple and pear
There are other serious factors in the death of the ovaries:
- diseases - fruit rot (moniliosis), scab, rust;
- pests - sucker, moth, sawfly, whose caterpillars get inside the young fruit and eat away the flesh;
- few nutrients.
In spring and autumn, they carry out prophylaxis against pests. The stem is stripped from the bark to destroy the hibernating insects. It is useful to make a "trapping belt", it will prevent pests from accessing the tree trunk.
To drink a tree with nitrogen and other necessary elements, once every 4-5 years, rotted manure is introduced under the digging of the near-trunk zone.
Reasons for shedding cherries and cherries
These crops are subject to the same risks as fruit crops. Of the pests, cherry fly and weevil are common, and of diseases - coccomycosis, fruit rot. Fly larvae settle in unripe berries, weevils suck food from foliage and lay offspring in fruits.
Rare feeding or their complete absence necessarily negatively affect the volume of the crop. After flowering, trees are treated after 8-10 days with urea - 1 tbsp for 10 liters of water. l. substances, repeat after 13-15 days.
Reasons for shedding plums and cherry plums
The greatest harm is caused by pests:
- sawfly;
- thickfoot;
- plum aphid;
- red tick;
- eastern moth.
Some penetrate the bone and feed on the contents, others damage the shoots, and they dry out.
To prevent the ovaries from dumping from lack of nutrition, stone fruits are fed three times. The amount of substances per 10 liters of water:
- Before blooming buds - 2 tbsp. l. urea, potassium sulfate or potassium magnesium. Pour 3 buckets under each tree.
- At the last stage of maturation - 2 buckets of solution from 3 tbsp. l. nitrophosphate and 2 tbsp. l. urea.
- After harvesting - 30 liters of liquid fertilizer from 3 tbsp. l. superphosphate and 2 tbsp. l. potash fertilizer.
Cherry plums and plums need abundant watering. Their roots are located near the surface, and they hardly absorb moisture from the lower layers.
