To prepare the substrate you need to take:

  • garden soil, humus and compost 1/3 bucket each;
  • fine sand (1 kg);
  • ash powder (0.5 kg);
  • superphosphate and ammonium nitrate (50 g each).

The soil is mixed, disinfected with a manganese solution.

Any containers for planting are taken: plastic, wooden. You can use peat cups or tablets.

Before sowing, the seeds are disinfected in a solution of potassium permanganate for 15 minutes, washed and put in damp gauze, then placed in a warm place.

Seeds are sown in a container with soil, covered with oilcloth and taken out to a warm place.

Watering the sprouts is carried out as needed, as soon as the soil dries out. Top dressing is applied in the form of liquid fertilizers, which contain potassium and phosphorus.

Before planting in a permanent place, the seedlings are hardened, taking out the container with the sprouts to fresh air.

Transplanting seedlings

After about 55-65 days, the seedlings are planted in light nutrient soil. The place must be lit.

Caring for tomato bushes is the most common:

  1. Watering. The variety needs rare but plentiful watering, at least three times a week. The liquid must be settled.
  2. Fertilizing. Plants are fed with organic matter (manure, droppings) and mineral products containing phosphorus, potassium and nitrogen. Top dressing should be combined with irrigation once every 30 days.
  3. Land care. It is necessary to carry out loosening and weeding in a timely manner.
  4. Garter and bush shaping. The plant is formed into two stems, removing side branches. The variety requires a garter, as weighty tomatoes incline the bush to the ground.

Ripe vegetables are harvested in August-September. They are used for conservation and for the preparation of various dishes.
