Cleaning aluminum cookware is not the easiest and most pleasant task, especially if the situation has been thoroughly neglected before. Today, for some reason, few people remember that there is one very effective, decades-old method of cleaning such dishes, which our mothers and grandmothers used. Even an old frying pan will shine after using it!

So, to clean the dishes in the "grandmother's" way, you first need to prepare 15 liters of water, 1.5 kg of apples, 1 tablespoon of salt, 750 grams of onions. The food doesn't have to be fresh. Even if slightly tainted fruits and vegetables are used, nothing bad will happen. You can use something that is stale and should have already gone to the trash can to clean aluminum dishes.

All of the above is dumped into a large saucepan. Onions and apples are necessarily chopped before this. The mass of products is mixed and filled with water, after which it is necessary to unload all the aluminum dishes that need effective cleaning into the pan. It should be admitted that the onion and apple method is somewhat expensive, and therefore it should be used only in cases where a lot of dirty metal dishes have accumulated.

We turn on the fire and begin to wait. Then the food mixture, boiling water and high temperature will do it all. After about 1-1.5 hours, all items loaded into the pan should be really clean.

It should be noted that in the Soviet past, this method was actively practiced in many villages. Unlike the cases of using household chemicals and recipes with vinegar, this method is good because it is absolutely harmless to humans. After "cooking" the dishes will only need to be rinsed.
