After the conclusion of the contract, you deposit 10-15 thousand rubles for the fact that now at any time a serviceman will come by your call and repair the boiler. In the contract, you sign under the obligatory annual maintenance. Further, the contract has been signed, now you need to install the boiler and start it up. A "certified" master takes for installation and commissioning in the region of 12-17 thousand rubles. (the number floats depending on the region).
Done. In total, after the conclusion of the contract, in addition to the boiler, we paid about 30,000 rubles. (if not more) or half the cost of the boiler. Now, the service director is rubbing his hands together because we are falling for the bait... we bought guarantee!

Breakage
The fact is that a unit such as a boiler rarely breaks down painfully. The heat exchanger serves for a rather long time and flows very rarely, pumps and boards practically do not fail, the fans are exactly the same. And there are no more expensive spare parts in boilers. When was the last time your boiler had a serious breakdown?
If something happens to the boiler, then the warranty service engineer who came to the place does not immediately start repairing, n-e-e-t, he first of all will try to find the reason for which could revoke the warranty and believe me, there are a lot of such reasons, from the absence of a mesh filter on the return flow and ending with the absence of a stabilizer voltage. Anything can be attributed to a power surge.
Suppose that the engineer could not find fault with anything, and we remember that we paid 30,000 rubles at the very beginning. Then repairs are carried out and usually in 95% of cases, repairs include:
- cleaning of electrodes;
- replacement of gaskets;
- diagnostics and replacement of sensors;
- broaching nuts;
- checking the contacts in the terminals.
Everything! It doesn't cost 30,000 rubles. It costs 3-5 thousand in the complex. With a clear conscience, I can say that there is no such part that would cost 30,000 rubles, and it is not at all a fact that you will be damaged even half as much. It is necessary to start the boiler so that it works continuously in a dusty room for several years without maintenance.
As a friend of the serviceman explains that it is very stupid to throw money away for a guarantee, it is better to leave it to yourself when buying a boiler. If a breakdown happens, you just call any service department, they will do everything in half a day and you will never pay them 30,000 rubles.
The fact of the matter is that when a warranty service engineer comes in and just an engineer, there is a huge difference between them. If this is a warranty, then you will run around him and drink his coffee, so that he does not find the reason for the flight from the warranty, and if this is just an engineer, then you master of the situation. The service was provided - I paid, the service was not provided - I am looking for another specialist.
