"As my grandfather bequeathed." Two ways, for extreme cases. By connecting pipes without a welding machine

Once, at the beginning of our labor activity, we went with a welder to the village. It was necessary to install a meter in the well. The road by UAZ took 40 minutes, one way. Everything was going well. Welded, retired, finishing work in the well, scalding the pipes with an acetylene torch. After that, I already climbed into the well and installed the water meter. After the counter, the pipe was made of polypropylene. I just had to connect it ...

But in the end it turned out that the necessary attachment was not in the set to connect the PCB. As it turned out later, the boss took her away for his coven. And I forgot to put it back. This is how we would have lost two hours, working time due to a management oversight. But fortunately, the welder is a very experienced person and we got out of a difficult situation. And he taught me not to hang my nose in these cases.

The first way to join polypropylene without a welding machine

If you do not have the necessary nozzle for the welding machine, then as a last resort, you can use a gas torch to heat the junction. With its help, we warm up the pipe and the connecting fitting. We do this procedure with gloves, trying not to "fry". As soon as the edges of the pipe begin to melt and the surface shines slightly, it is done. It's time to connect...

The second way to connect polypropylene without soldering iron nozzles

I used this method at home, warmed up the fittings with a construction hair dryer, heating is the same as with a burner, but there is no open fire. Which is safer, but you can burn your fingers in both cases. We do not heat the entire fitting, but the joints.

I strongly advise against using these methods in apartments, the risks of a poor-quality connection, without proper experience, are very high. The video contains more descriptive information. I invite you to view:
