This lock is almost impossible to find in stores, but it surpasses many ordinary locks in protective properties, and is comparable in price to them. I found a way to buy it

Rare castle Penzmash ZV01

In the comments to my post "Garage lock in Chinese" (https://ammo1.livejournal.com/1237905.html) brought a photo of an unusual padlock with the popular name "Fungus", produced in Penza. I was interested in this castle and I started looking.

It turned out that the castle is called ЗВ01 and the Penzmash plant has been producing it for many decades. Here it is on their website. It was not possible to find this lock in any Moscow online store. On the entire Internet, there were only three companies selling this castle, and all of them are not in Moscow.

And then I just wrote to the email address indicated on the manufacturer's website [email protected] and asked how to buy this lock. I was immediately told that the lock can be bought directly at the factory and they are ready to send it by a transport company or by Russian post. I paid for two locks by transferring according to the details of the plant (888 rubles 80 kopecks each), created a parcel on the mail site and paid for it (349 rubles for sending two locks). It turned out to be 1063 rubles for one lock. Not cheap, of course, but no one has such. :)

The castle is structured as follows. A "finger" is inserted and fixed into a heavy cylindrical body. Everything is made of steel, and the body and the "finger" are magnetised. The total weight of the lock is 705 grams.

At the end of the body there is a keyhole, into which a one-sided punch key with eight pins is inserted.

The key is pulled out of the lock only when it is closed (moreover, to remove the key, you need to turn it back a little after closing it).

The "finger" rotates freely in a closed lock, so it should be very inconvenient to saw it.

I don't know if this lock can be bumped. I also don’t know how weak the keyhole is and whether it is possible to rip out the mechanism with a large nail tool by screwing a self-tapping screw into the keyhole.

I asked the Ukrainian Beardrops how burglary this lock was, but he replied that he hadn’t come across such a model.

Regardless of the level of burglary resistance, you can try to strengthen this lock by welding a circle that closes the mechanism to the body of the lock. Additional protection can be provided by a welded washer that closes the keyhole (its inner diameter must be such that the key can be inserted).

A big plus of this lock is that it is rare, so an intruder who is going to "enclose" a garage is likely to choose a garage closed with a lock known to him, and not with this one.
