We take a canister, a little time and we get a nice thing for the kitchen

Friends, I greet you!

I congratulate you on all May holidays!

Now I will show you how you can make a nice thing for the kitchen with your own hands from an ordinary plastic canister from a detergent (or better from food grade plastic). If you love handicraft, then this craft will appeal to you. It is easy to make and quite useful.

So what is needed:

1. Plastic canister;

2. Unnecessary T-shirt;

3. PVA glue and hot glue;

4. Acrylic paint;

5. Decoupage napkins.

Beautiful napkins are often sold in supermarkets, even if you don't find decoupage or three-layer napkins, ordinary, colorful ones will do. We usually use PVA glue 801 for construction, it glues anything better than others. Its only drawback is a rather pungent smell.

Step 1.

On the canister, a contour was drawn with a marker, the future shape of the product. Then they cut out along the contour and be sure to clean the cut edge with sandpaper.

Step 2.

From the cut off part of the canister, you need to cut a small piece of plastic and glue it inside. This will be the organizer divider, which will divide the inner space into 2 parts.

Step 3.

We cut an old or unnecessary T-shirt into strips 4-5 cm wide, sew them together, stretch and twist them into a ball.

Step 4.

We glue the knitted fabric from the T-shirt to the canister outside with hot glue, glue it from the bottom up.

Step 5.

Now you need to coat the fabric with PVA glue and leave to dry for several hours until dry.

Step 6.

After the PVA has dried, paint the fabric with white acrylic paint. We paint 2 times, if the first time it is not painted over.

Why paint if we glue napkins? And then, that the napkins are thin and translucent, and having painted, we created a base (background) for the napkins.

Step 7.

Now that everything is ready, you can glue on the napkins. We cut out the desired fragment, put it on the canister and glue it with diluted PVA glue with 50-50 water. Apply glue with a small soft brush from the center of the napkin to the edges, expelling air and smoothing out wrinkles.

When we have completely sealed the entire canister outside, we leave it to dry for 12 hours so that the glue dries well.

Step 8.

We cover the organizer with acrylic varnish, preferably 2-3 layers. Now it can be safely washed.

This is what happened in the end, nice, practical and not difficult!

Draw your attention! This is an organizer, not a spoon dryer, DRY items are placed in it!

See what other interesting things we did with our own hands:

A 5 liter plastic bottle makes a cool and useful thing for the house.

I wish you a great mood and thank you for your attention!
