I am building a gas-block bath in my summer cottage, a resting place for soul and body. The process of reinforcing walls from this wonderful material came up.
For good, it is necessary to reinforce every third row starting from the first. But due to his stupidity, greed and laziness, he missed the first row.
I will quickly tell you about how I reinforced the middle row and what I used for this;
In order to make a slot in aerated concrete, I used a specially purchased Fiolent wall cutter:
Its advantage is that after the work on the wall racking, it is easy to remake it for an ordinary grinder. Which is always required when working at a summer cottage.
With his task, he coped with the creation of the strobe effortlessly.
The next step is to gouge the cut out pieces. It's easy to do, no problem. Then we put the reinforcement in them. I used 10mm diameter iron rods.
Having tried on these pieces, I pulled them out of the strobes again. I put glue in them for laying gas blocks and only then reinserted the fittings again. Thus, the adhesive adheres more tightly to the block and fittings.
In the photo below, you can see how the reinforcement lies in an already dried strobe. You can also observe what is happening under the removed block, glued in the wrong place by "steam".
As a result, the reinforcing rods lie inside the structure, holding the frame of the house against tensile loads, which can arise for many reasons.
