Greetings to all the guests of the channel. Our blog is a collection of articles and videos on welding and locksmith for self-taught beginners in welding. So, we introduced ourselves, now we will open another useful article for beginners.
To process a piece of iron, saw, sharpen with a grinder, drill holes with a drill and other methods of mechanical work we need. This piece of iron is fixed for convenience and safety in a stationary position. Everyone, or almost everyone, knows such a tool as a clamp.
A clamp is a tool that attracts, presses two parts together quite tightly. And in this position, the desired part is processed.
But many old seasoned welders do it a little differently. Press one piece of iron to another for their own purposes in the simplest way for them. See what they do.
Friends, at the top is a gallery with 8 photos of such a situation, just scroll to the right to change photos. The task was to process this set of details with a grinder - this is part of the hinge from the sides of the truck.
It is tedious to cut off old welds and additionally grind the surface with a grinding disc. Such a part must be firmly fixed in a stationary state.
We just take and grab them to one massive metal piece. In this case, it was tied to a sheet of metal. Everything, quickly and very hard, boldly saw, cut, grind. After all the actions, we just cut off this potholder. I will also show you an example, pictures from my work.
There are 6 photos in this gallery. Scroll through, watch the whole process.
There was a task, at a piece of the channel you need to shorten both shelves. We will work with a large grinder with a 230 disc. The channel must be fixed motionless.
We also grab it to a massive profile pipe and in this state we boldly do our locksmith work - we saw both shelves along the channel. Securely, firmly, it took a few seconds to make the potholders. After processing, simply cut off these welding tacks - small round clamps with the same grinder!
Here's a little trick for newbies. Take technical knowledge into your arsenal.
