Hello my dear friend. Recently, for my screwdriver, I purchased an attachment for automatic feeding of self-tapping screws when working with sheet materials. Such as drywall, plywood, OSB. Naturally, you can do without it. But I got curious about how it works and what it is.
After the arrival of this item. Immediately I tried it on for my shura, who was previously sold at the Traffic Light. And you know what, it fit perfectly!
The screw is just tightened and we have an apparatus for which they ask for decent money. But before we check it in work. I'll show you how it is assembled: the long bit that comes with the kit is installed.
We put on the nozzle, tighten the screw.
We push the tape with self-tapping screws from the kit into a special place. Where the tape will automatically advance, substituting self-tapping screws under the bat.
The result is such a charged device.
By the way, he has settings, the first for setting the depth of the self-tapping screws.
And second, I still don't understand why. Can anyone explain?
How does it work? You press the screwdriver and start the rotation. The mechanism contracts by sliding the tape with the screw under the long bit. The bit, rotating, falls into the grooves of the screw and the latter comes out of the nozzle, digging into the material. Releasing, the mechanism straightens, moving to its original position. This cycle is repeated anew. Scroll through the gallery:
The mechanism itself is assembled decently, there is rigidity in it.
How long it will last is unknown. But he is able to facilitate the task of mounting sheet material. By the way, there is a video on the channel. You can see his work there: "Timofey Mikhailov"
