Recently, I was with friends and learned about a penny tool that will help in the shortest possible time to cope with all the problems at their summer cottage. You don't even need to look for it in the shops, since it is absolutely in every home. Its name is sodium bicarbonate or regular baking soda.
In our region, it costs about 40 rubles. Let's deal with each problem separately.
1. Removing bad odor
If you have an unpleasant smell from a drain pit on your site, then getting rid of it is very simple. To do this, take 10 liters of water and pour 200 grams inside. soda. After that, be sure to stir the resulting mass and pour it into the source of the smell. The unpleasant smell will disappear for 3 weeks. After the expiration of this period, the procedure can be repeated.
2. Getting rid of weeds on the site
When soda and water come into contact, an alkaline solution is obtained. It is effective against the most common weeds on the site. It is enough to make a solution and water the area with them. After a couple of days, you can see that the weeds have begun to fade. Just don't do it next to plantings or fruit bushes. You can harm them.
For 10 liters of water, 500 grams of soda will be needed. Pour, stir and water with a garden sprayer. There will be no more grass between the tiles.
3. Outdoor pool protection
If you have a pool at your dacha, then you know perfectly well that caring for it costs a pretty penny. Water begins to bloom quickly, and to prevent this from happening, many people buy hydrogen peroxide or special chlorine tablets. And they are not cheap.
Regular baking soda will do much better disinfection, but the price is very affordable. For 1 cubic meter, you need to take 15 grams of soda. This makes one full teaspoon and a little more on top. Dissolve baking soda in a water bottle or glass and then pour it into the pool.
You will be pleasantly surprised that the pool will not bloom for a long time.
