Today I continue to lay paving slabs and moved on to the most difficult part, to the entrance to the courtyard, the area of which is slightly more than 90 sq. M.
This is not a blind area and not garden paths, the size of the site is large and using the usual bubble level, the slope I can't do it, so my faithful Chinese assistant with Ali will help me today - a laser level :-)))
The device is not professional, but it has served me faithfully in the household for more than 5 years.
I think that all owners of laser levels have already appreciated their advantages and few people already use a hydro level with two flasks.
But, sooner or later, all the same, every owner of a laser level has a need to make a marking in the open air. And as luck would have it, a bright sun will shine on this day :-))) On a bright day, the laser beam is completely invisible, and rather, you've come across this! It doesn't matter if you have a laser scanner for 1000 rubles or for 15,000 rubles, the red dot becomes invisible already at 3 meters.
Until this idea came to my mind, I always waited for it to get dark outside the window and quickly made the markup in order to start the work I needed in the morning. And the cloudy day was a holiday for me!
But, today such an idea came to me... The laser beam is not visible during the day, but as soon as the laser hits the eye, it becomes immediately visible. The problem is that you cannot look at the laser for a long time (it is fraught with damage to the retina), and secondly, even if it was possible, then it will be very problematic to accurately project the caught beam onto the surface of something, so something else is needed solution... It turns out that the beam can be caught with a regular camera!!! And this will be the camera of an ordinary mobile phone !!!
The method works even if the distance to the laser is 50 m.
So, we turn on the laser level, and on the mobile phone we enter the camera mode and switch it to the front camera or, in other words, to the "selfie" mode.
We bring the phone to the surface on which a horizontal or vertical beam is supposed to be projected, and scan the area by moving the phone in different directions.
If the beam hits the camera's eye precisely, the phone's screen matrix will react as follows (screenshot):
Now it remains in front of the camera on the surface to draw a mark with a pencil, it will be your desired point!
To make sure that this is exactly the point that you need, just move the phone up and down or left-right - when moving away from the beam, the red spot on the phone will fade away, and the brightest glow will be the desired point.
Here's an interesting way. Today I appreciated it and was pleased that without waiting for the evening, I did everything necessary during the day!
