" Cheloveinik" in St. Petersburg, or How to live in a house with 35 entrances, 3708 apartments and parking in the yard

Who from St. Petersburg has not heard about the rapidly growing town of Kudrovo, which, although administratively belongs to the Leningrad region, is actually a sleeping area of the Northern capital. Literally until the early 2000s, it was a tiny village, which was looked after by developers and began to actively develop the territory. Particularly zealous reached the point that in several stages they erected a gigantic residential building, in which there were 35 entrances and 3708 apartments! At the same time, its height varies from 18 to 25 floors, and it was built in the form of a closed structure with a labyrinthine courtyard, which is packed to overflowing with parked cars.

In a relatively small area not far from St. Petersburg, a "million-plus microdistrict" with a fantastic population density has appeared. And he grew up on the site of the calm village of Kudrovo, belonging to the Vsevolozhsky district of the Leningrad region.

Historical reference: For the first time, the settlement of Kudrovo was mentioned in the Novgorod scribal books of the 15th century. At the beginning of the 19th century. the village figured as Okkervil manors, where the country residence of Poltoratskaya was located, and a winery and vodka factories were located nearby. In Soviet times, a commune was organized in it, and in 1939 a commune was organized there. kolkhoz, which included only 17 existing households. In the middle of the last century, a little more than 300 people lived in Kudrovo, and by the end of the 80s a tunnel was laid to the village metro, but the station "Narodnaya" still does not accept passengers, since neither the lobby nor the inclined passage has been built. In 2018 after the total settlement of new buildings, the village of Kudrovo turned into a city.

Now Kudrovo is called a "multimillion anthill", because there, at the beginning of the 2000s, active construction of budget housing began. complexes with a height of 22-25 floors (at least 18 in several blocks of a giant house), in which there are mainly studios and one-room apartments. Although the "main village of Russia" does not yet have 1 million. residents, but given the pace of its growth and the emergence of residential complexes in the microdistrict "New Okkervil", in particular an apartment building at st. Regional house number 1 - this figure is not so illusory.

What did the architects think when they designed such a residential building?
What did the architects think when they designed such a residential building?

This residential building became famous throughout the country for the fact that 35 entrances, 3708 apartments and 29 non-residential premises were created in it! Even by the most conservative estimates, at least 7.5 thousand people live in it. people (the size of a small town!). It is scary even to imagine how a huge number of people live in a high-rise, built in the form of a closed structure with a narrow courtyard-labyrinth.

While the complex was still under construction, although it raised concerns due to the height of the multi-level buildings (from 18 to 25 floors), but there was no confined space that appeared after the last frame. Then there was only a narrow passage to the courtyard, which was initially even closed so that outsiders could not get into its territory. Over time, the entrance was no longer closed, because someone left or drove in every 10 seconds.

This is the kind of "beauty" seen by the residents of the largest house in Kudrovo (st. Regional, house number 1).

Upon completion of the construction, the residents of the last buildings felt all the charm of the union. At one point, it was announced that the building numbers had disappeared from the address, in connection with the commissioning of the fourth stage, the house was assigned a single address - Kudrovo, Oblastnaya Street, No. 1. This entailed bureaucratic red tape, namely: changing the registration address in identity documents, making changes to the database Of the Unified State Register of Real Estate, if the ownership right had already been formalized, then it was necessary to make changes.

The chaos in the numbering of apartments confuses even the residents of the building (Kudrovo, st. Regional, house number 1). | Photo: amarok-man.livejournal.com.

The change of address was not the only unpleasant surprise for the residents of the house. Walking through the giant courtyard along the front doors, studying the plates with the apartment numbers, you can understand that something is wrong here too. It is logical to assume that in the last entrance there will be apartments with numbers approaching 3708. No matter how it is! The last apartments are located in staircase 25, and at 35 - numbering starts from 2497 and ends with 2588. Can you imagine how couriers or an ambulance team look for the right addressee?

Disappointing fact: Well, that's not all. Considering that the house has a narrow and long courtyard, residents of apartments of 1-15 floors, whose windows look “deep into the well” or labyrinths, never see the sun's rays. But they perfectly hear the roar of thousands of cars trying to start on a frosty morning (at about five o'clock, later it is no longer possible to leave Kudrovo), and park in the evening. And that's not to mention carbon monoxide, which you have to breathe around the clock.

The residents of these apartments are more fortunate, they see the sun, which does not really spoil the residents of St. Petersburg (Kudrovo, st. Regional, house number 1). | Photo: pikabu.ru.

Those whose apartments are located at the front of the building structure are more fortunate, there is little in their windows the St. Petersburg sun peeps in every time it appears on the horizon, and the whole upset microdistrict can see. Although there is practically nothing to look at, only 25-story boxes and sidewalks cluttered with cars.

The infrastructure is no better. Developers initially promised to organize schools, kindergartens, clinics, and even leisure time. And in practice, in some places you can see only tiny playgrounds, but otherwise - tiny courtyards packed to capacity with cars, the only one for 50 thousand. people (the official figure, in fact, is 2 times more) The General Medical Practice Center is located just in a giant house, one post office, a catastrophic shortage of schools and kindergartens (still designed for residents villages). To be fair, I must say that in the city of Kudrovo there are several supermarkets and even a city park, but this is not enough for such a large population.

Naturally, the people living in Kudrovo go to work and for the slightest reason go to the Northern capital (which is not at all happy Petersburgers), however, getting to it at rush hour is simply unrealistic due to traffic jams and the lack of adequate passenger traffic. So the "main village of Russia" became famous not only for the largest house, but also for large-scale problems that no one is in a hurry to rake.

No matter how Russians complain about new residential neighborhoods that look more like anthills, they still live in apartments and houses. But in Hong Kong, due to the catastrophic shortage of land for traditional construction, it is proposed to move to
... reinforced concrete pipes, which are equipped with tiny mini-apartments.
