Among more than fifty brands of batteries on the Russian market, only one has a provocative name. Of course, I could not help but test the batteries called the "Truth Test".

Batteries " Truth Test"

The second provocation is the inscription "Regular battery". All manufacturers write about what their batteries are "Super Mega Extra Ultra Advanced Power Max Longlife", but here it is just a "regular battery" and there is not even an inscription "Alkaline" on the front side of the blister. But of course, these are alkaline batteries, which is what is written on the back.

Truth Test AA and AAA batteries are available in blister packs of 2 and 4 and in boxes of 24. The price starts at 19 rubles apiece. Batteries of types C, D, "Krona", CR2016, CR2025, CR2032 are also produced under this brand.

Unlike most manufacturers, the site test true.rf the results of testing batteries in various modes are given, as well as, which is quite unusual, data on the number of batteries sold.

These batteries were produced by the Energomix company. They are sold online 1-2.sale, but they can also be found at Ozone.

The batteries I tested have a shelf life of 10.2027. No production date is given, but most likely it is October 2020. The test was conducted in June 2021.

Battery weight AAA 11.5 g, AA 23.1 - 23.2 g.
Initial voltage of AAA batteries 1.608 - 1.609 V, AA 1.612 - 1.613 V.

I have tested two of each type of battery using a chemical current analyzer. Yarostanmash ASK2.5.10.8.

To test the capacity and load capacity, the batteries were discharged in two modes:

- discharge with a current of 100 mA to 0.7 V. The test shows what maximum energy the battery can give;
- discharge with equivalent resistance 5.1 Ohm to 0.9 V for AAA and 3.9 Ohm to 0.9 V for AA. This test shows how well batteries are suitable for powerful loads (toys with motors, blood pressure monitors and other medical equipment).

For comparison, I took the most common batteries Duracell, Energizer Alkaline, GP Super, Cosmos, Phase and Flarx.

The diagrams show the average capacity in mWh for two batteries.

AAA batteries. Blue bars - discharge with a current of 100 mA up to 0.7 V, red bars - a discharge with an equivalent resistance of 5.1 Ohm up to 0.9 V.

AAA Truth Test batteries outpaced the much more expensive Duracell and Energizer and cheaper batteries in maximum capacity, losing only 1% to GP Super. Under heavy load, the AAA Truth Test batteries were the best.

AA batteries. Blue bars - discharge with a current of 100 mA up to 0.7 V, red bars - a discharge with an equivalent resistance of 3.9 Ohm to 0.9 V.

AA batteries "Test for Truth" in terms of maximum capacity were in fourth place after Duracell, GP Super and Energizer, but they hardly differ from Energizer, and lag behind the two leaders by 8-9%. In heavy load mode, the AA batteries "Truth Test" are in third place after Duracel and GP (difference 9% and 2%).

I will give all the measurement results for both copies of each battery model.

Batteries "Test for Truth" turned out to be not only provocative, but also just good batteries, outstripping most others in capacity.
