This thing not only shows the temperature and humidity on its screen, but also allows you to control these parameters, as well as their change from anywhere in the world.
Thermohygrometer costs about 1000 rubles. It can be placed on a table or hung on a wall and is powered by three AA batteries.
The readings are fairly accurate (a 3% moisture discrepancy is almost an ideal result).
The manufacturer claims that the device can work for up to two years on one set of batteries. Considering the "gluttony" of Wi-Fi, this sounds amazing, but it's simple: energy is saved in a clever way. The Wi-Fi connection does not last all the time, but is turned on only for data transmission, and this can happen quite rarely. Once an hour, the thermo-hygrometer checks if there are significant changes in temperature and humidity, and only if there are, transmits updated data. If the device is in a room with constant temperature and humidity, it will not turn on Wi-Fi at all and transfer data until the temperature and humidity change.
The thermo-hygrometer works on the most popular Chinese platform Tuya (Smartlife), statistical data is stored in the cloud.
The application displays the last transmitted values of temperature and humidity, in addition, you can see the changes in parameters for the day, month, year. At each point of the graphs, you can see at what time the data was transmitted. You can see the battery charge level.
It is possible to create scripts using instrument data, but it is important to understand that this is not suitable for fast processes (for example, you can enable heating, if the temperature drops below 10 degrees, and turn off if it becomes more than 20, but you cannot turn on / off the heating to accurately maintain temperature).
This device has a lot of reviews on Aliexpress and half of them are negative - people just don't understand how it works. Some write that the batteries run out in three weeks (it will be so if you set up Wi-FI and then turn off the router - the device will continuously search for a network). Many people write that after the first data transfer, the device disconnects from Wi-Fi and do not understand that it should be so. Many write that data is not transmitted for a long time and do not understand that it should be so if the temperature and humidity hardly change. Someone writes that the device is not suitable for automation, but it is quite suitable if you understand the principles of its operation.
I bought this thermo-hygrometer to fit in my garage with a 4G WiFi camera https://ammo1.livejournal.com/1188994.html. It is also suitable for a summer cottage or even a greenhouse if Wi-Fi is caught there.
