Previously, only pear lamps were sold in Fixprice stores, but recently "candles" of two brands have appeared. Both those and others for 77 rubles. I bought and tested them.

Candle lamps from Fix Price

The Smartbuy SBL-C37-07-30K-E14 lamp bears the date of manufacture "04/2021". Parameters indicated on the box: power consumption 7 W, luminous flux 560 lm, replaces 60 W incandescent lamp, color temperature 3000K, color rendering index Ra> = 80, 2 year warranty.

The Era LED B35-8W-827-E14 R lamp bears the production date "01/10/21". Parameters indicated on the box: power consumption 8 W, luminous flux 640 lm, replaces 55 W incandescent lamp, color temperature 2700K, color rendering index Ra> = 80, 1 year warranty.

I measured the parameters of the lamps with an Uprtek MK350D spectrometer integrating 50 cm spheres, a Robiton PM-2 power meter and a Lamptest-1 instrument. All measurements were carried out after warming up the lamps for 30 minutes.

Spectra and measurement results of light parameters (Smartbuy on the left, Era on the right).

Smartbuy lamp:

The measured power is 5.3 W (76% of the declared), the luminous flux is 422 lm (75% of the declared), equivalent to 50 W (60 W is declared).
Measured color rendering index CRI (Ra) 83, ripple coefficient at 230 V supply voltage 0.1%.
An IC driver is installed in the lamp, but a decrease in brightness by 5% occurs already when the voltage drops to 194 V.

Era Lamp:

The measured power is 5.7 W (72% of the declared), the luminous flux is 539 lm (84% of the declared), equivalent to 60 W (55 W is declared).
Measured CRI (Ra) 82, ripple at 230 V supply 0.2%.
Color temperature ~ 3100K (2700K is indicated on the package).
A linear driver is installed in the lamp, a decrease in brightness by 5% occurs when the voltage drops to 210 V.

Both lamps work correctly with switches that have an indicator.

It's funny that two different manufacturers overestimate the power in almost the same way: ~ 5 W instead of the promised 7 and ~ 6 W instead of the promised 8.

Both lamps are single board (DOB). The Smartbuy lamp has 7 LEDs, the Era lamp has 5 LEDs. Smoothing capacitors for both lamps are installed on the back of the board.

Samrtbuy lamp is built on a rather interesting microcircuit PT4515Nwhich can even be used in dimmable lamps.

Era lamp is built on a linear driver with a built-in rectifier MT7607H. The uniqueness of this microcircuit is that the number of external elements is reduced to one capacitor and two resistors.

Although Smartbuy has more LEDs and less total power, it warms up more.

The thermal imager showed a temperature of 101 ° C on the LEDs of the Smartbuy lamp and 90 ° C on the LEDs of the Era lamp. In reality, the temperature is even higher.

At the minimum, permissible according to GOST, mains voltage of 207 volts (230 - 10%), the measured light pulsation coefficient y Smartbuy was 0.3%, in the Era with a linear driver it grew to 26%, however, such a ripple is still not noticeable visually. At 220 V, Era has a ripple of 2.8%.

Fix Price candlesticks were better than expected. They have LEDs with an acceptable color rendering index, they have no ripple when the mains voltage is 230 V. Although the parameters of these lamps are overestimated, they can be fully used, knowing the real characteristics.

It is important to note that both Era and Smartbuy differ in that in different batches, bulbs with the same article and barcode can be completely different (maybe 100% ripple and CRI 70), so the results of my measurements are relevant only for lamps with the dates of release that I pointed out. I hope they are exactly like this in all Fixprice.

P.S. I plan to buy and test all candle lamps from Leroy Merlin, as well as Lexman lamps of all types from there. Which lamps from which shops else to test?
