Designer Olga Shapovalova designed a 58 m² euro-apartment for a young man. The historic building was conducive to creating an interior with a touch of retro: as a result, the interior decoration corresponds to the appearance of the house's facades.

  • total area: 58 m²
  • Place: Moscow
  • House type: residential wing of the hotel "Ukraine"
  • Number of rooms: euro two
  • Budget: 7 million rubles
  • Who lives here: young man
  • Designer: Olga Shapovalova (O-Deco Studio)

  • Stylist: Tatiana Gedike

Layout

The original layout fully met the needs of the customer, they did not change it. The apartment had a combined kitchen-living room, bedroom, hallway with a long corridor and a bathroom.

Living room

The floor in the residential areas was laid with herringbone parquet. Light walls have become the backdrop for furniture and decor items. The molded cornices are a copy of the historical ones, they were cast from plaster to order.

The soft group was placed on a white carpet. A laconic sofa was combined with an armchair and a pouf of unusual silhouettes. Textiles are responsible for the variety of textures - upholstery of a pouf with a houndstooth pattern, decorative pillows on the sofa. Black elements add graphicality to the interior. And the abstract paintings of the artist Daria Barybina and the floor lamps next to the sofa maintain symmetry.
Furniture with futuristic shapes contrasts with the vintage writing desk. A potted plant next to it added color to the interior.

Kitchen

The kitchen was combined with the living room back in the 1990s. Marble-look porcelain stoneware was laid on the floor in this area.

The set was divided into two blocks: one - pencil cases with appliances in a niche, the second - a linearly lined lower tier of cabinets. The lack of hinged modules helped to lighten the interior.
The bench has become an extension of the headset. She linked the cooking area to the dining room. In addition, the dining table was equipped with a chair from the Soviet period.

Bedroom

The central place in the room was taken by the bed. A vintage chair with a classic silhouette was moved from the previous apartment of the customer. A system of wardrobes was built along the foot of the wall. So it was possible to kill two birds with one stone: squat the room and increase the amount of storage space.

Hallway

Stylistically, the entrance hall does not differ from other rooms. The "dirty" area was highlighted with glossy porcelain stoneware. The existing niches were supplemented with built-in furniture: at the entrance they put a banquet and a storage system with mezzanines, a wardrobe and a shallow bookcase were built into a niche further along the corridor.

Bathroom

The zoning of the bathroom was carried out using different floor levels. Next to the entrance, a utility block was equipped, then all the plumbing was placed. There are also some retro details here - sinks with a base and wall sconces with lampshades.
