I ended up at VDNKh today and was surprised at the number of people walking there on the first of January.
On New Year's Eve, I visited three guests and returned home only at seven in the morning.
I woke up at 13:00, looked out the window, saw six people on the street, but they were all in green, yellow and pink uniforms, and some of them were on bicycles. Yes, they were couriers delivering food to the emaciated celebration of Muscovites. There were no other people on the street at all, and no cars either.
I was almost sure that there was no one at VDNKh either, and there was a crowd.
At McDonald's there is a queue at the entrance, the skating rink is full of people, they ride from the tubing race like from an assembly line.
And here is the queue for this very hill.
I was surprised. I thought everyone was sitting at home on January 1st.)
