My wife, like more than half of the fair sex, is very fond of flowers! In our house on each floor there are several huge flowers, and one of them, the oldest one, has already changed 3 houses, he constantly moves with us ...
... no, we actually don't change our place of residence very often, it's just that the flower is already an adult - it is over 15 years old! It is called dracaena.
From the very moment of purchase and while it was growing (up to 1.5 m), I always stood on a high rack, and when I reached more than 2 meters in height, we increased the diameter of the pot and moved it to the floor, and this is the first winter when the dracaena is on the floor.
Back in November, we noticed that the leaves began to turn yellow and the first thought was that the close location of the heating devices was to blame. They removed it further from the batteries, changed the ground, began to moisten it more often, but the leaves did not stop turning yellow ...
After that, they began to sin on a warm floor, although I do not wind it up to the full, it works in comfort mode. But, just in case, I still made a stand under the flower pot.
Several days passed and it turned out that this did not help either, the flower was getting worse and worse ...
And one fine day, the wife unexpectedly finds this picture:
What a scoundrel! He pulled up his tail and sits in a pot!
It was strange for me, but all this was not at all accompanied by harsh cat smells, you can only notice when you smell it, otherwise you would have noticed it long ago.
Now it became clear that the flower does not die at all from heating, but from the fact that our cat has begun to visit more often at home, because it’s minus on the street and once again you cannot stick your nose out into the frost!
The wife changed the land for the 3rd time, but this time, on the advice of a friend of the owner of a flower shop, we made a surprise for the cat!
The way to wean a cat from flower tags is as follows: the most ordinary toothpicks are stuck into the ground, those which in "Fix-Price" and "Traffic Lights" cost 25 rubles ...
... and this method works very effectively, believe me! The cat jumps into the pot and immediately jumps back, well, he really doesn't like sitting on pins and needles!
A month later, the flower came to its senses! Finally! The perpetrator has been exposed!
In short, now all the flowers in our house are covered with toothpicks! And this is the best defense I know of. At least, you don't have to sprinkle flowers with different chemistry, vinegar and sprinkle with mustard, everything is much simpler ...
There are still options, though, to spray the pot with lemon juice or grease the edges with essential oils like tea tree oil! But won't the cat be fat!
In general, the cat circled around our toothpicks for several days! It was noticed that he also climbed to the second floor to other flowers, but they are also under the effective protection of toothpicks :-)))
And now it does not match any flower at all! We have weaned him off hooligan!!! Something like that!
