The popular domestic tomato variety Marusya is grown not only by summer residents in their gardens, but also by farmers in the fields. Has all the necessary certificates, can be purchased at specialized stores and other points of sale.
Characteristic
It is a mid-early determinant variety. From sowing seeds for seedlings to harvesting a ripe crop, no more than 120 days pass.
Bushes of medium size, no more than a meter in height. The arrangement of the branches allows the fruits to receive full sunlight. Fruits weighing about 80 g, small in size. The shape of a tomato is similar to an egg. The pulp is fleshy, juicy. The skin is strong, but not thick, bright red. The taste is sweet. From 1 m² I collect 7 kg of crop (about 2 kg from one bush).
cultivation
Maroussia develops well both on dry soils and in areas with high humidity. Needs sandy or loamy soil with a neutral pH.
The variety can be grown both seedling and seedless. I always grow seedlings to enjoy the harvest as early as possible. I always plant tomatoes, observing the rules of crop rotation.
IMPORTANT! In regions with a cold climate and short summers, the cultivation of Marusya is possible only in greenhouses and greenhouses.
I germinate seedlings according to the standard scheme. I plant seeds in prepared nutrient soil, cultivate at a temperature of + 23-25 ° C. When growing, do not forget about the large amount of sunlight, abundant humidity.
Transplanting seedlings in open ground can be carried out only after the complete cessation of return frosts. Landing dates will vary for each region. I always focus on the temperature of the soil - it should not be lower than +15 ° С.
Marusya tomato care
Seedlings planted in open ground need standard care, which consists of the following steps:
- systematic weeding and loosening of the soil;
- regular irrigation;
- garter;
- pinching.
Separately, I want to talk about top dressing. Tomatoes need systematic top dressing, since during the period of active growth they already extract all the necessary nutrients from the soil.
The first application of complex fertilizers containing nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus is carried out on the 10th day after the transfer of seedlings to the beds. I bring in the next ones every 2 weeks, but already without nitrogen, in order to avoid an intensive increase in the green mass of the plant.
Advantages and disadvantages
There are practically no shortcomings in the variety. There are many advantages. The most frequently mentioned include:
- friendly maturation;
- abundant fruiting;
- drought tolerance;
- high yield even under adverse conditions;
- excellent taste qualities;
- appearance;
- high keeping quality;
