Variety Description
Khali-Gali - small tomatoes. The bush reaches a height of no more than 90 centimeters. The plant has strong stems and shoots, the first fruits can be obtained already 85 days after germination. Tomatoes of this variety are bright red, round, with a ledge at the bottom, weighing from 150-200 grams. Up to 10 kilograms of crop can be harvested from each bush, which tolerates transportation well, and the plants are resistant to pest attacks and fungi.
Advantages and disadvantages
This variety has many advantages - it is early ripening, good health, good taste, stable yields and the ability to keep fresh for a long time.
The disadvantages are minimal - exactingness in pinching and garter.
Sowing seeds for seedlings
Since the bushes are small, they can be planted in a balcony garden. It is better to grow through seedlings, which they begin to plant in late winter - early spring.
soil mixture
The soil for tomatoes should be nutritious and with neutral acidity, as well as sufficiently loose. You can prepare the soil mixture yourself. To do this, you need to take one part of the earth and compost, two portions of peat and half the dose of river sand. Before use, I disinfect it and bake it in the oven.
Sowing seeds
I pour the prepared earth into containers and make shallow grooves into which I lay the seeds, sprinkle them with soil and cover with film or glass. Then I send it to a dark and warm place for a week.

After the appearance of sprouts above the ground, I remove the shelter and transfer the container to the windowsill, where in the mornings and evenings I illuminate the plantings with a fitolamp. During the period of active growth of seedlings, it is necessary to make sure that the soil does not dry out. Upon reaching a height of 5 centimeters, I dive each plant into a separate cup. After this procedure, I let the seedlings rest for about five days and do not water them. I do the first top dressing a week after picking. I use a yeast solution for this: I take 10 grams of yeast and 4 tablespoons of sugar for half a glass of water. After 15 days, the plants will be fed for the second time with Stimulus.
Planting seedlings in a permanent place
For planting tomatoes, it is desirable to select a site where there will be a lot of sunlight and a minimum of drafts. Since autumn, the earth should be dug up and 5 kilograms of humus and 20 grams of wood ash should be added to each square meter. I plant seedlings of tomatoes when they are about 60 days old.
I form the rows at a distance of half a meter from each other, and leave 40 centimeters between the bushes. Before planting, I pour a glass of ash into each hole, lower the plant, straightening the roots and sprinkling with soil, without sprinkling the growth point. I complete the planting work with watering.

Hali-Gali tomato care procedures are standard, everything we do with most other types of tomatoes.
Watering
The earth should not be dry - this is the main rule of care. Plants should be watered with warm water, reducing the frequency during the flowering period.
top dressing
I fertilize plants in open ground 7 days after planting with a solution of mullein. The next procedure is carried out after about 14 days. When the first flowers appear on the bushes, I begin to fertilize with potassium and phosphorus.
Shaping and tying bushes
I leave two stems on each bush. I cut off the lower greens and remove the inflorescences from the axils of the shoots. When pinching, I try to leave a “stump”. Since the fruits grow on brushes, the bushes have to be tied up on trellises.
soil care
The soil should be loosened to a depth of 5-7 centimeters after each watering, in parallel I remove weeds. You can spread mulch around the plants: peat or straw. This will retain moisture and keep weeds from growing.
Khali-gali tomato variety will not please you with large yields, but the excellent taste of tomatoes will cover this shortcoming. Growing tomatoes of the Khali-gali variety is not difficult, the main condition is to follow all the rules for care, and then even on the balcony you can get a crop of fresh tomatoes.
