The disadvantages include:

  • do not use seeds when sowing next year;
  • preventive measures against diseases and pests should be taken.

Optimal time for disembarkation

The variety can be grown using seedlings or sown directly on the beds. The duration of the manipulations depends on the chosen landing method:

  • seedling method: the last days of March - the first decade of April;
  • sowing in an open area - the beginning of summer.

Planting and growing vegetables

This variety is grown in warm soil, the temperature should not be lower than +15 ° C. When growing in an open garden, crop rotation should be strictly observed.

Good predecessors for cucumbers are: potatoes, cabbage, onions, legumes.

Prestige develops well on medium loamy soil.

Seedling method

I have been preparing the soil since autumn: I am processing with copper sulphate, I am bringing in manure, I am digging.

I soak the seeds in Zircon for 15-18 hours (2 drops of the product / 300 ml of water). For sowing I use peat containers.

I prepare the substrate from peat, sand and leafy humus. I take the ingredients in equal parts. I spill the soil with a solution based on copper sulphate. Five days before sowing, I add superphosphate (5 g / 5 kg of earth). I sow the seeds, I cover the cups with oilcloth. When sprouts appear, I remove the shelter and irrigate the plantings with a spray gun.

I transplant the grown seedlings into pre-prepared and abundantly watered holes.

seedless method

As soon as the return spring frosts have passed, or closer to the middle of summer, seeds can be sown in the ground. A cut plastic bottle is placed on top of the well. When shoots appear, the shelter is removed, after a week the planting is thinned out, leaving the strongest seedling.

plant care

Whatever method you use when landing, Prestige care is the same:

  1. Top dressing. I alternate fertilizing with organic matter with mineral fertilizers. For the entire growing season I make up to four dressings:
    The first - I do it as soon as at least three or four leaves appear, I use nitrogenous fertilizers.
    The second - at the beginning of flowering, I use calcium, potassium and phosphorus.
    The third - during fruiting, I apply phosphorus, potassium and a small amount of nitrogen.
    Fourth, the plant requires nitrogen, calcium, phosphorus and potassium.
  2. I water under the root as the soil dries out.
  3. Bush shaping and garter. Plants require a garter and reliable support.
  4. The soil must be loosened and weeded from weeds.

Diseases and parasites

For prevention and treatment, I spray with copper sulfate (3%). When fighting pests, I use folk remedies: soap solution, tobacco infusion. I destroy the melon aphid with a solution of karbofos (40 g / bucket of water).
