Eggplants are quite capricious plants. With the wrong agricultural technology, you can lose the crop. Most often there are problems when growing in a greenhouse. I will talk about the reasons for the lack of ovaries on crops and how you can get rid of this problem.

The culture is rather capricious in care. It is not easy to grow in greenhouse conditions.
To harvest a decent harvest, follow some rules when cultivating:
- Temperature fluctuations need to be monitored. Plants do not tolerate sudden changes in temperature, because of this, their flowers and ovaries crumble.
- The soil should be light and nutritious.
- Plant seedlings in warm soil.
- Be sure to loosen the ground.
- Conduct proper watering and timely top dressing.
Reasons for the lack of ovaries
There are some reasons why fruits do not form.
Poor quality seeds
Planting material is checked for germination by soaking. To do this, take a saline solution and put the seeds in it. Quality seeds will sink to the bottom, while empty seeds will float on the surface.
Unsuitable neighbors
For successful cultivation, you need to choose the right neighbors in the garden. The culture feels good next to radishes, cabbage, sweet peppers.
Eggplants do not tolerate neighborhood with tomatoes, potatoes. Such plantings have a bad effect on both types of plants.
Unsuitable soil for planting
Flowers will fall off if the crop grows in soil with excess nitrogen. To correct this negative phenomenon, it is recommended to add preparations containing potassium and phosphorus to the soil or to fertilize with ash powder. Fruits will not form if clay, acidic, podzolic soil is used during cultivation.
Wrong watering
Eggplant thrives well in well-drained soil. Irrigation should be carried out, focusing on the condition of the land. Plants do not tolerate stagnant water, since the root system does not develop well from excess moisture. And with insufficient watering, the nutrition of the culture is disturbed and the buds develop poorly.

- two weeks after planting seedlings, apply complex fertilizers to the soil;
- when flowering, use preparations containing phosphorus and potassium;
- during the period of fruit formation, use nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizers;

When fertilizing, stick to a strict dosage, otherwise it will grow a large sprawling plant without fruits.
Prevention measures
In order for strong ovaries to form on the bushes, take the following preventive measures:
- prepare the substrate well: add nutrient fertilizers, loosen, moisten;
- when sowing, use high-quality seed material;
- regularly ventilate the greenhouse building;
- form bushes in a timely manner, removing dried, damaged shoots, dry foliage, weakened ovaries;
- shake the pollen on the flowers regularly to increase the percentage of pollination.
Eggplant, although a whimsical and capricious culture, but subject to the correct agricultural technology and the creation of optimal conditions, will surely please with a stable and plentiful harvest. The main thing should not be forgotten that the plant requires the use of nutrient soil, it is necessary to moisten it stably, fertilize it in a timely manner and regularly take care of the plantings.
