All gardeners have an idea about weeds that prevent crops from growing throughout the summer. To protect your beds from this scourge, you can use herbicides. Today I will tell you about the universal preparation "Lazurit", which I use in the fight against weeds in a potato plot.
Description of the drug
The tool is used in the fight against weeds in areas with planting potatoes and tomatoes.
Herbicide successfully destroys many unwanted plants. The most popular include:
- ambrosia;
- amaranth;
- quinoa;
- bodyak.
As soon as the herbicide is on the grass, it is absorbed into the plant. After watering, the product acts on the root system.
The drug begins to act as soon as it is used. After about seven days, the weed grass begins to dry out, and 14–30 days after treatment, it dies.
Advantages
The tool is harmless, it does not accumulate in the soil and culture. In addition, the taste of root crops does not deteriorate from Lazurit and the yield does not decrease.

Preparation of the remedy
If the garden is not heavily overgrown with weeds, carry out only one procedure. Dilute the preparation (10 g) in water (3 l) and spray until germination.
Two manipulations need to be done if the weeds have grown. Process the second time when the tops reach a height of up to 5 cm. The working solution should consist of water (9 l) and substance (10 g).
When breeding "Lazurit" you need to consider:
- the size of the territory;
- amount of weeds;
- soil condition.
Precautionary measures
When working with herbicide, the following safety precautions must be observed:
- processing is carried out only in calm weather;
- do not use food utensils to prepare the solution;
- during processing, you need to be in overalls - gloves, mask, gown;
- you can not be in the garden for more than 3-4 hours.
What resources can be combined?
To increase the effectiveness of the action, the herbicide can be combined with other agents. In addition, "Lazurit" does not apply to fertilizers.
When mixing products, the mixture must be homogeneous.
For complex use, pesticides, nematocides, insecticides, fungicides and acaricides are suitable.
When not to use?
"Lapis lazuli" should not be used:
- on sandy soil;
- if the potato was affected by the disease;
- during periods of temperature fluctuations;
- during a drought;
- for processing early ripe potatoes;
- with a small amount of weeds.
Effect after application
Weeds begin to dry a week after treatment. Completely disappear only after 20-30 days.
The diluted product should be used within a day. The sealed herbicide can be stored for five years.
Similar drugs
"Lazurit" is not the only drug that is used in the fight against weeds.
Herbicide analogues are:
- "Metrizan";
- "Herbitox";
- "Gardener";
- "Zenkor".
"Lazurit" refers to universal drugs used against actively overgrown weeds. In addition, it makes potatoes more resistant to late blight and unexpected frosts. This drug can be combined with other drugs. And complex treatments will help protect against diseases and increase the yield of root crops.
